The flat was small, but just perfect for the two of us. Antonia was there waiting for us to arrive and to show us around the apartment. She even had some breakfast food stuff in the fridge for us - nice touch. The place was clean and had everything that we needed including free wireless with a fast connection - big plus! Please note that the circular stairway leading up to the loft bedroom is really narrow, so negotiating it can be tough (especially if you are trying the carry stuff up or down), and that the brick ceiling above the bed is pretty low so you will have to stoop over to avoid hitting your head. The area around the apartment is close to the university, so it has a lot of "character" shall we say. It is about a 15 minute walk from Termini, and there is also access to two other Metro stations nearby by walking through a tunnel that goes underneath the railway tracks. Also note that there is a little Indian restaurant which is cheap and cheerful, with pretty good food, just near the apartment (it is also listed in Lonely Planet). There is a small Carrefour down the street where you can get groceries easily too, if you want to have breakfasts in the apartment. Look into buying a Roma Pass when you go there - it is well worth it for the 3 days of transport plus free admission to two sites (at the Collosseum and Forum you can also bypass the lines to go right in).
The apartment is really beautiful and convenient. Exactly like on photos. There was everything for living: Antonia and her husband Joe were so nice, that left some food in fridge and fruits for us. Joe met us on point and gave highly detailed information about apt and city. And we met Antonia while we were leaving. Both were very pleasant persons.
The flat is close to Termini station (about 15-20 min walk) and to transport stops. But we went almost everywhere by feet.
Near the apartment there are many markets, one big supermarket and a whole bunch of restaurants. At the corner there is one exceptionally wonderful, with very tasty cuisine and low prices (the only drawback - it opens at 7:30pm).
Strongly recommend this apt. If we go to Rome once more, I want to live here again.
This place was great. Antonia left us some fruit and food for breakfast which was really sweet of her. The neighborhood is great and safe regardless of all the graffiti! Many restaurants at awalking distance. 10-15 mins walk from Termini.
Access to the bedroom was a bit tricky though a spiral narrow stairs and the bedroom is about 1.5m high, so many ppl can stand up straight in it, yet it did not bother us at all! it was very romantic.
Thanks Antonia, will recommend this to others.
Antonia's apartment was soooo amazing! It was incredibly comfortable...we both agreed that the bed was by far the most comfortable bed we've slept in, in years :) We were going to/from Naples so the location to the Termini station was good. It rained the whole time we were in Rome so it made the trek to the apartment a bit annoying. However, we were up for the walk and the neighborhood. I have to say, we had some trouble getting back on the last day and were about 30 mins late to check out. Antonia was extremely accomodating and we thank her for that. Would recommend, especially if you have to be near Termini.
Antonia is a very welcoming and nice person. She waited for us even we were delayed. The flat is nice and clean, very comfortable place in walking distance from the historical center of the Rome. I certainly recommend this place for staying in Rome.
The only problem is parking, so take a taxi or transit. If you plan to rent a car, you might have some problems finding a parking place around. However, a was lucky enough to find one in 10 minutes walk distance.
Nice place and conveninetly locate near the Termini. Within walking distance to all the major attractions in Rome.
Nous le recommandons fortement.
This is one of the coolest apartment in which we lived for all the period of using Airbnb service. It is clean and spacious, romantic and cozy. It has everything you may need in the tourist trip. Antonia explains everything in detail and easily. In terms of price/quality it was by far the best choice of all available apartments at the date of our arrival.
We had a wonderful stay at Antonia's apartment.
The apartment is very beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our expectations were high due to the information given on airbnb and we really enjoyed to stay at Antonia's apartment.
Antonia is very gentle and gave us lots of useful information about the surrounding, sightseeing and public transfer in Rome.
We highly recommend Antonia's apartment for a stay in Rome and we would stay there again.
If you want you can also avoid public transfer and explore Rome by foot.
