This apartment is totally independent and not shared with anyone.
We are located 15 minutes to Manhattan.
If you were to stay in the Bronx it would take you 40 min to get to Times Square. If you were to Stay in Brooklyn it would take you the same amount of time as subways in Brooklyn are not direct. If you were to stay in Manhattan you would not find a place as big as this one for this price.
There are many buses going direct to the City in the heart of Times Square. 24/hrs bus services to the City. The bus stop is just around the corner from the house.
Transportation is probably underrated. There are about 3 -4 major bus routes which go along the cliff coming into port authority in about 20 min. There is a free bus to a ferry at the bottom of the cliff which comes round every 10 min. There are also the little jitney buses which come around every few minutes get you into town for about $3. So across the official NJ Transit, the little jitney buses and the ferry you can get into town at any time within about 20 min. Oh yes there is another bus into Hoboken from boulevard east (road on the cliff) as well.
The bus will take you to Port Authority 42nd St subway station (lines A, C, E). This station is a central subway hub and you can easily walk to lines 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q and R. (Important: Subway tickets cost $2.5 per ride but you can buy 7-days unlimited pass at $29)
The apartment is an independent studio located on the garden level of a family house.
It is equipped with bed linens, towel and private bath.
The neighborhood is very safe and is located a block away from million dollar houses.
The house is located a block away from Avenue East when you will see breathtaking views of the City. Best panoramic view if you ask me.
Street parking with permit (provided by host)
WI is available as well as cable TV and a fridge
No heavy partying. Please be respectful of our neighbors.
"each city and community grabble with collecting taxes and keeping these short-term guest houses from becoming community party homes with a constant year-round cycle of new faces, new loud music, new license plates. The problem is this: Hotels are generally not on your block. The late-night pool parties or the drunken arguments don’t affect us. This is a community, we have the right to a good night's sleep. We have the right to feel safe and we have the right to our privacy. We don’t envy the tourists, we want them to see the area, enjoy Manhattan and its surrounding, but in return, can we have some respect? This is our neighborhood 365 days a year. If we didn’t love it and want it to stay beautiful we would probably not have lived here."

Our second time staying here and it was just as great! SO comfortable and convenient. The family upstairs and Miyoko were all so accommodating and nice. The beds are comfy, the sofas are great - cable TV with HBO! love the little kitchen too. The shuttle to the city is super convenient too. My only tips if you are going to stay here is bring soap, as they dont provide and beware the weird lighting... the light switches are confusing and the bathroom only has one dim light. But everything else was so divine and it was a great deal. I would tsay here again and again!
Great airbnb experience, great location and very spacious, easily fitted us all in with a lounge area and kitchen. good location and was an easy bus ride to Central New York. Great view of Manhattan from the end of the road. Host was very friendly and very helpful, especially considering our flight was delayed and we arrived very late at night.
We were very pleased with our stay here. I was surprised to note that there were actually two rooms, not one, with two beds and a couch in one room and the kitchen/bathroom/entrance in the other along with one more double bed. There is a TV in each room with a good selection of channels and wifi. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils, etc. (bring a can opener if you need one though). The apartment is a little cluttered but for the price, it was fantastic and convenient. There is a little grocery store about two blocks away that is actually very well stocked.
The bus stop is super close and convenient and the ride to Port Authority isn't bad at all. The views of NYC from the road the bus stop is on are absolutely beautiful. Boarding at the Port Authority can be a little confusing the first time--but we just asked someone and they were super nice. Overall, this apartment really was a great choice and we would do it again.
Estuvimos felices.
