Our stay at Afroditi's place was wonderful. The flat is squeaky clean and with lots of space with a nice balcony. It is in a familiar neighborhood and the building is in really good shape. It was very easy to go downtown by metro and also to the Piraeus to take ferries to the islands. Petralona area with restaurants is just one stop away. But the best of all was to to meet our hosts, we really felt staying with long time friends. They helped us to discover hidden places to eat and visit and they also helped us to plan our trip to Peloponesus. They know a lot about the country! We wanted to stay longer and will come back for sure.
Perfect central apartment and great host who was on call if we needed anything. Clean functional and perfect for a short break. A short walk to the metro and plenty of options for local Greek restaurant food nearby. Good supermarket is just at the end of the street. We ate at ΚΟΥΤΟΥΚΙ ΤΟΥ ΓΡΙΛΛΗ (ΤΟ) as recommended by Afroditi (lovely Taverna near the metro), and ΚΑΠΠΑΡΗ over near Petralona metro. Lots of very good value greek restaurants around Troon and Dorieon streets - go where the locals go instead of paying too much in the centre of Athens!
The 4 day Athens sites pass is great value (12 eur) to see all the monuments incl the Acropolis. A must is the Acroplis museum (5 eur).
Cool shopping, bars and beaches can be found via a 45 min tram ride down to Voula. We didnt really get a good beach spot so I would probably recommend getting off a few stops early.
Very good experience, large saloon and balcony, comfortable room. Afroditi is very nice and helpful. Highly recommended！
Very welcoming host who was there whenever we needed any help! Lovely and well equipped apartment at a good location! 1 min walk to the supermarket!
The stay at the flat was very enjoyable. The flat is spacious, clean and fairly comfortable. The only minus is the lack of an air conditioner and the inability to open the windows at night (the only windows are doors to the balcony, so they need to be shut overnight), which meant that it was getting quite hot at night. The road outside was also noisy sometimes, so it can be hard to sleep for some people, especially with the heat.
The flat is located in a residential area, which was safe even at night, very close to the underground (metro) station. It is quiet and peaceful, without much happening in the area. It is slightly away from most tourist attractions - meaning that to get to most attractions we had to take the underground. Nothing is within walking distance.
We have not met Afroditi in person but she was very helpful and accommodated our late arrival (2am). She also responded quickly to any queries and there were no major problems at the flat. Overall the stay was enjoyable.
It's a nice appartment, near to the centre and Piraeus port, in a quiet place.
Afroditi was incredibly helpful with our visit to Athens. We got a little confused on our arrival but she helped us through with patience and cheer. The apartment was exactly as described and in a nice residential area that really made us feel that we were seeing the real Athens. It was a nice break from the touristy activities of the days, the local taverna that she recommended was lovely too! Couldn't have asked for more :)
