Great host and communication. Excellent location to explore Sacred Valley.. Lovely house and garden. Great for our family of 7 - we took the whole house - but be aware upstairs access is via an outside staircase.

It's a nice house, very clean and the town of Calca is quaint and immaculate. It's a good place to get acclimated if you're going to trek up at the higher altitudes. Cusco is not the best place to get acclimated...Calca and the Sacred Valley is a better choice. There is a bus station located at the end of the long street from Hermann's house. It was convenient. I would recommend this house to other travelers.

The house was beautiful with wonderful views. Hermann was there to meet us. Paulina was always available and very helpful when we needed her. One morning we didn't have any water but Hermann rectified that quickly. The toilets run so you always have to check those after you flush or the water tank for the house will empty. The beds and pillows were super comfy. Whenever we needed Hermann to get us a driver he always responded promptly. Two restaurants Hermann reccommended never opened for the 5 nights we were there, so I can't comment on them. We always walked to the Plaza de Armas for dinner which was always chicken because there wasn't a lot of choice. There is a small grocery store there also. The square is about a 10-15 min walk from the house. We very often ate grilled chicken and beef on a stick for 1 sole each. A quarter chicken dinner with fries and soup was 13 - 14 soles. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Wonderful host, very attentive and resolved issues immediately as they arrised. Great garden with beautiful panoramic mountain views. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and safe. As we are freelancers, stable internet connection made us very happy! Highly recommend the house and the host! Would be very happy to come back!

This is a beautiful home in Calca, on the edge of town at the base of a mountain. The home is comfortable and the views of the Sacred Valley are incredible. Minor issues with hot water, etc were fixed in a timely manner. We enjoyed our stay!

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this house 4 months. We have been Sacred Valley before and wished to have a quiet place with internet connection since we are freelancers. This house is in very nice part of Calca, pretty calm. The views are amazing and the garden is nice. Also I was amazed how good internet this house has, its not very common in the area. The house itself is huge, we only used the downstairs where they have 2 bedrooms and kitchen. One thing to note is that houses in Sacred Valley are made of stone so its cold at night but with some nice alpaca clothing one is fine. there is a fire place in the house but since the house is big it doesn't really help. The kitchen has basic equipment like plates, cups, owen and blender to make juices etc. The garden is shared with the care takers family who are very nice people. They have amazing nice dog which doesn't bother you but comes and hangs out if you call him. Calca has amazing market to buy any vegetables, fruits, meats or anything you wish for. The busses to Cusco go from the mainstreet which is 10min walk from the house. Herman replied quickly any time I needed to ask anything

Was not hard to find, thou Herman gave us wrong phone number. House is in wonderful place, out of town, with great view. Calca is nice and quiet little town, but any touristic destinations very easy to reach. At evenings house is chill, so need to make fire. Must admit that house supervisor cheated us with a firewood. She charged us much more, than it actually costs. So, try to get firewood by your self.
