New Peony farm, Quiet, conveniently located 8 minutes from Palmer, It's a surplus WWII Homesteader's Quonset hut sitting on 40 acres and abuts the state "moose range" and trail system. It has been remodeled using all native materials- timber and rocks etc. solid wood burning stove, primary heat source, 20 ton rock wall used as a "heat sink" to even out the temperature. Campfire pit just outside. Amazing views, private trails that link to public trails. Wild life just outside and all around.

Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Best for 2 people or 2 people and children. The loft was a bit difficult to get in and out of. Breakfast of fresh strawberries was an added bonus.

Joe and Julie were the most amazing at working with our schedule. They were willing to offer airport shuttle service and fish freezer space! They were unruffled by our confusing travel itinerary and welcoming to all of our travel companions.

We had a wonderful time at Joe and Julie's place. Such a welcoming and down-to-earth family. Joe even made his one of a kind sourdough pancakes . . . delicious!! Would definitely book a return trip.
