Don't be fooled by the gorgeous views, canopy of trees and hawks flying overhead. You may feel a hundred miles away from the city, but you are only 5 minutes from downtown LA, and just a mile or two from the vibrant and eclectic neighborhoods of Silverlake, Eagle Rock and Highland Park.
This bright and sunny 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom is a 1920's Craftsman duplex (we live in the downstairs unit) that is situated on a 10,000 square foot hillside lot. There is a deck with stunning views right off the kitchen, terraces with avocado trees, citrus trees, and raised vegetable beds. The property is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature while still being in a big city.

We also have an upright piano in the living room and you can borrow some acoustic guitars if you're feeling musical. The deck is perfect for alfresco dining. You are welcome to eat any fruits and vegetables from the yard.
The main bedroom has a king sized bed. The second bedroom has a CB2 flex sofa that converts into a full bed. All bedrooms have high thread count linens, extra linens if your stay is longer than a week, and lots of clean towels. The couch in the living room can be reconfigured into a bed, just ask us ahead of time and we can change it around for you.

If you are without a car, the bus stop is a 5-10 min walk, depending on which bus stop you're headed towards. By bus, it is 15 minutes to downtown and from there you can connect easily to all bus lines and metro rail lines, as well as catch the Flyaway bus to LAX from Union Station.
We provide our guests with a list of places to eat/drink and things to do, organized by neighborhood. We are always on call if you need any recommendations or assistance.
Please be advised that the house is on a slope and that young children playing in the yard will need some adult supervision.
Final note: We truly enjoy getting to know our Airbnb guests from all over the world, so at the time of booking, please tell us about yourself, any other guests and the nature of your visit. We prefer to have guests who have pictures of themselves and have filled out their profiles. And please feel free to ask us any questions as well!

Glassell Park has blossomed into a truly wonderful neighborhood in the past few years, with lots of great restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. We're excited to show our guests the best of Glassell Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. There are so many hidden treasures that even many Angeleno's don't know about.
There is plenty of street parking. You may also park in the driveway, although cars that are extremely low to the ground may not be able to park there.
