Beautiful home with a great view of the volcano and beautiful sunsets. Spacious rooms, we had 6 people stay and there was plenty of room to stay out of everyone's way. Keep in mind if you are planning on staying that there is limited cook space with only one burner so cooking a big meal can be a little challenging. There isn't any screens on the windows so bugs can get into the house at night if you leave the windows open. Overall I would recommend this house and it was a great value.
Thank you Ryan for your stay in our home, I am sorry about light , we had remote control for that fan but one of our guest lost . The light has a three way, may it was on in one of those switch.
I am fixing that problems , I am sorry to hear that.
For your next stay I will give very good discount, for those inconvenience.
Magdalena was an awesome host~! Didn't get to meet her, but her gardner Victor greeted us and let us into the the beautiful home with a fantastic view of the countryside. She also helped us set up a reservation for waterfall rappelling/rafting activities in Arenal, which I'd highly highly recommend.
Two things to note: knowing spanish will be absolutely helpful to get around the area and make sure you have a 4x4 car because the roads leading to the home is off-road and quite rocky!
Thanks Magdalena for the wonderful stay!
Thank you Joseph for your stay in our house, I am glad to hear that you enjoy in our country in our area, I hope you will back soon to Costa Rica .....I am happy for you good experience in our house. For me was a pleasure been you host! You are amazing people !
Most of the roads in Costa Rica leading to private properties are the same us the one to my vacation house.
we always rent automobile because is cheaper than 4x4 car, and I don't have problems , but I understand you her in USA the roads are very good...
The house was clean and as pictured. There was plenty of space for myself and 2 kids. We loved spending time on the back porch - great view and cool breeze. It is a little out of the way so you will want to make sure you arrive well before dark and stop at a market for food on your way in. Magdalena was very responsive and helped us book the river float cruise which was a great start to our vacation.
The house is located on a nice hill overlooking the valley and about 25 min drive to La Fortuna. Great setup for morning coffee! The house fits a family of 5 or 6 very nicely and was serviced daily! We had a SUV which is recommended for the unpaved road climb to the house.
Some of the lights in the house were missing (assuming temporary issue)
This home had a beautiful view of the valley below and Arenal Volcano on a clear day. The home was not that far from the main road but the road getting up the hill to the home was rough and had to be driven very slow. This is typical for the Costa Rican side roads and some none major roads. Could be challenging in the wet season but was easily driven in the dry season in a minivan. Overall the home was as advertised and there was no major surprises. It was spacious for our 3 couples and very quiet.
We enjoyed the grounds keeper "Victor" . We didn't speak Spanish and Victor didn't speak English but he was able to provide us a key to the home and give instructions on how to use the washer and dryer. Very pleasant man.
Magdalena offered an additional day stay for free but we had arrangements for a the next leg of our trip to Monteverde and couldn't take advantage of her offer. Thank you!
The reservation was canceled 49 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
