Sarah and Christopher were wonderful hosts. I was traveling with my 20 year old son who has Downs Syndrome and this was the first visit I had shared with him in a couple of months. We were an unusual pair since most visitors to Memphis probably spend all day and most of the evenings out and about the city.... My son and I hung out in the loft and enjoyed looking out the windows at all the interesting stuff going on below, sitting around the living room and playing a bit with their darling toddler who was a delightful little person. They treated my son like another member of the family and I so appreciated their kindnesses.
The loft is so interesting in its architecture and full of creative works of art and sculpture. It was an amazing space to hang out in and very comfortable in every way. The location is fabulous since it is in walking distance of many great restaurants and museums. I look forward to going back and seeing more. My son has some difficulty walking but managed the steps up to the loft better than I expected.
The second night we were there the weather had turned unseasonably pleasant for August and we had a delicious dinner at a restaurant below the lofts windows where we sat on the sidewalk and watched the many different horse drawn carriages carrying people up and down Madison. It was so much fun and while we were sitting there Sarah happened by giving their dog a walk! Felt like we lived in the neighborhood!
Sarah graciously set up a twin size air mattress for my son on the floor which he thought was perfect. We felt very comfortable and even got to meet some of their extended family! Christopher spent some time showing me some of his installation art pieces and telling me about the arts community in Memphis. They are both quite talented and know Memphis extremely well.
I was a bit concerned about the parking situation but the garage Sarah recommended right around the corner was easy to deal with and even though my car was full of stuff (since I'm in the process of moving), no one bothered with it.
My dreams of living in a city loft got to be realized for a few nights! I highly recommend the loft and the hosts. Thank you Sarah and Christopher!
Absolutely lovely spot in a great location, couldn't have asked for better. Sarah and Chris were super knowledgeable about the area, definitely take advantage of their local smarts!
Sarah and Chris' place is truly unique and staying with them was a great experience. The loft is spacious and located smack in the center of Memphis, everything is within walking distance, literally, with great restaurants and bars around the corner. We stayed two nights and found everything to be great, nice and clean. Parking is easy if you use one of the nearby parking garages (we used one around the corner, 6$/day). Highly recommend Sarah and Chris' place if you are staying in Memphis!
Sarah and Chris couldn't have been more friendly and helpful hosts. As first time visitors to the city, we really appreciated their willingness to provide recommendations on great places to eat and visit. The loft was beautiful and could not have been in a better location for us and our weekend plans. Our hosts and the place they shared with us were both appreciated and an integral part of making this past weekend one to remember.
Had a lovely stay, excellent location, Sarah and Christopher very accommodating, cutest baby ever (!), thanks!
Loved this place and Sarah and Christopher were great hosts. It was such a great location and such a unique place to stay. The room was lovely and clean and spacious and they were really helpful in giving us useful Memphis tips. I would totally stay there again. Thank you! Hattie
