About this listing
Elegant traditional architecture meets modern design in this peaceful oasis with 6 bedrooms, a jacuzzi-pool, hammam and a large sunny roof-terrace with Berber tents. An adjacent private 2 bedroom house also available.
Our Riad is an amazing Guesthouse nestled in the heart of the Medina, or old quarter of Marrakech, just a stroll away from the Souks, Medersa Ben Youssef and Djema El Fna Square. A jacuzzi-pool, hammam, spa treatments and great cuisine are available for our guests to indulge in and enjoy.
Near the Mosque Sidi Ahmed Soussi, in the popular Sidi Ben Sliman district, the Riad provides luxury accommodation in a traditional Moorish house finely restored using contemporary design.
The Riad has 4 beautiful guestrooms and 2 suites, decorated with understated elegance, as well as spa facilities for a relaxing and pampering stay in Marrakesh.
Guests are invited to lounge in the shade of the banana trees in the courtyard while listening to the fountain, unwind in the jacuzzi-pool hidden in a former Bhou or to enjoy the Turkish Bath/hammam. Why not stretch out on the sun-loungers and take the sun on the roof terrace or chill out in the Berber tent... And in the evening, enjoy delicious Moroccan cuisine, served either on the patio, roof terrace or in the dining-room.
If you need more space you can also rent our Douiria, a private 2 bedroom house with a large sitting / dining room, a cosy lounge and a lovely terrace. It is linked to the main riad through the rooftop terrace.
Guests have access to the jacuzzi, hammam, central patio and roof-top terrace.
Riad O² is situated in a quiet street in the lovely Sidi Ben Slimane quarter, in the heart of the medina, 5 minutes walk to the vibrant souks and 10 minutes from Djema El Fna Square.
There is a taxi rank located less than a 5 minute walk from the riad.

We would like to remind you that Morocco is a Muslim country, therefore as a mark of respect for its inhabitants it is highly recommended to avoid short dresses and shorts, as well as bare belly, low-cut tops, or anything too revealing (especially in the old city).
Also it is very inappropriate to eat or smoke in the street in the daytime during Ramadan (starting 28 June 2014 for 1 month)
There are also certain rules which riad owners have to strictly adhere to and apply.
No unmarried Moroccan women co-habiting or present in riad as unregistered guests.
The same applies to Moroccan men who are not registered guests in the riad.
L’hébergement a contribué à notre week-end magique à Marrakech !
We had nine people staying in the entire riad for a work event, using each of the rooms plus the seperate Douiria.
Marie was very helpful in arranging our stay, and patiently and promptly answered all my emails.
We had breakfast and lunch in the riad, prepared by the two on-site cooks, and we all very much enjoyed this. The lunches in particular were lovely, and varied each day generally consisting of a cold starter with bread (various Moroccan dips and salads), a main tagine based course (fish, chicken, lamb), and a dessert. One of our group was a vegetarian, and allowances were made for this.
The riad itself was very spacious, and we had plenty of room to work and sleep. Eating our breakfast on the roof terrace was a nice way to start the day. There are many seating areas, both inside and out. We didn't make use of the pool, but did arrange a hammam scrub in the sauna room and came out of it several kilos lighter!
We arranged taxis through the riad and this helped us on arrival and through the confusing Marrakech streets.
Moad, the English speaking manager, was also very helpful and there was a night porter who tirelessly kept us warm by lighting fires in various rooms (we visited in spring so it was chilly at night).
We booked the place for 19 people. The place was great with excellent service and staff. Very good for big groups to work because of huge roofterras and the open square on the first floor. And pretty important super good food in the Riad!
WOWWW!! I cant say much more about this place... It was an amazing stay and the staff were out of this world. We booked the whole Riad and everything was perfect for our stay.. I will be coming back and will stay here again. Amazing

About the Host, Marie&Hugues
We are a French couple who fell in love with Morocco years ago.
We then decided to buy a place in Marrakech. After a long period of renovation work, combining modern comfort, traditional material and our taste for design, we finally created our beautiful riad.
We love going to the desert, sleeping in berber tents and listening to Touaregs playing drums and singing.
We also enjoy meeting people and telling them about our favourite places to see and visit.
