This was our second stay at Carbery Cottage, with the first one being 11 years ago! There have naturally been a few changes but the experience was exactly the same. Fantastic! This is a lovely place to stay in a gorgeous area with fantastic hosts.

Very very calm place to stay. Mike and Julia will give you great advice and great welcome to their house. There are a lot of animals in the garden that wont disturb you but it's cool to see the interaction between them in the morning :) The breakfast is home made and love made. The place is a bit hard to find. Ask Mike and Julia the GPS position.

We great stay at Carbery Cottage. It exceeded our expectations. The room was nice. The breakfast was fantastic. And, the Sheep's Head peninsula was a mecca for hikers. Julia and Mike were great hosts and provided excellent local information - spectacular restaurants, routes to take ... It couldn't have been better.

"Very friendly and easy going hosts - but still very attentive and professional. From the moment I arrived I felt totally at ease and was made to feel at home. The place was bright and airy, clean and well appointed - even though fully booked it was very quiet and peaceful. I had a lovely breakfast and chatted with the owners and the other guests and had a really nice start to the day. The rural location is still easy to get to, with great views across the countryside down to the bay." Julian

This is an idyllic location full of charm. Mike and Julia are friendly and the menagerie of animals makes the stay even more fun if you are an anal lover. If you're lucky Dizzy the Duck will warm up to you and give you nibble-kisses. Breakfast was delicious, too. It's a beautiful area you shouldn't miss out on! Thank you to Julia and Mike for a great stay!
