  • This first experience with renting an AirBNB was a very positive one. Federico was very helpful and flexible in making agreements. The appartment is decent, not very big but definitely comfortable enough. The bedroom is very nice, when you're waking up with the sun in your eyes, you really feel relaxed, on a beautiful holiday :). I'd advise this appartment to friends.

  • It is a great apartment which i can really recommend. The apartment has everything you need for your holiday , close to the metro, couple of local restaurants. We had a great time!

  • The apartment was clean, with wifi and a small yet workable kitchen. The terrace is shared with a next door neighbour, an information which is not disclosed by the hosts in the website. I came from Amsterdam and was straight on planning to arrive late (after 20:00) at the apartment. I did not realize (prior to booking the apartment) there was a EUR30 fee for after 20:00 arrival, but was conformed with the fee once I realized it just before my travel date. What really upset me were the incidents that followed my arrival to Rome:
The train connection from the airport to Rome got delayed, causing me to arrive at the host's apartment at 23:15 (I kept the host informed through multiple phone calls). The apartment is very secluded, in a dark street and the host's name is not apparent at the intercom. It took my boyfriend and I some 10 minutes pressing different apartments until we decided to make (another international) call to the hosts in order to request them to open the door for us. They did. Once we got up there, the person seeing us to the apartment was very inflexible with respect to the delayed entry fee. He said because it was after 23:00, they demanded not 30, but 50 Euros for late entry!!!! Everyone knows that travelling may lead to delay. I tried to explain we were merely 15 minutes delayed because of the bad train connection, but Dario (not cited in the website) was resilient. I did not have the cash on me, and next day he came to the apartment to collect his 50 Euros. My boyfriend and I felt a little cheated and a little conned. It started our weekend in a wrong foot and just overall spoiled our experience. The flat which was supposed to be a good value although in a more distant neighbourhood, turned out to be 17.5 Euros more expensive per day (plus multiple international calls to get a hold of the owner). A real shame the hosts had to behave that way.
We got no tips about the town, no sympathy and very mercenary attitude. A bad first experience booking through airbnb.

    Response from Federico:

It's very clear on the description that there is a late fee, you've arrive at 23:25 at the apartment (not 23:15) and there was a person waiting for you since you've called at 20:30 ! You called me and I told you not to take the train to Tuscolana station but you ignore my recommendation and finally you've arrived very late, that's is not our fault! I don't cheat or conn people ( I have more than 600 reviews on airbnb that testify that) but i'ts very clear that you don't read when you book because also on the confirmation it's written the number of the apartment you need to ring, and you rang all my neighbors at that time!! something very unrespectful , when it says FEDERICO on my apartment intercom.
The area of the apartment is not secluded, San Giovanni is a very well known area, and via sannio a very safe and famous street in Rome, so I recommend you that next time read carefully the information of the place you're booking and don't blame on hosts if you're not prepared to travel.

  • We had a great time in Federico's apartment!

The place was clean and tidy. The bedroom was quite spacious and the bed was comfy. It is very well located near to the train station, restaurants, supermarket, shops, etc. You can easily walk to the Colosseum - 25 minutes at the very most.

Federico was very helpful and welcoming. He had a very well organized book with map, tips of places to eat and so on, which was available for us to consult at anytime.

He let us to leave our bags there for few hours, once we were getting our train at night.

    Gracie, Federico!

  • Nice, clean apartment in a central location. We didn't get to meet Frederico but someone else checked us in and she was lovely. The shower is cramped but does the job! Overall we enjoyed our stay.
