One bedroom apartment in a Victorian with living room, fully-stocked kitchen, living room with sofa bed and full bath and large walk-in closet. Centrally located near a great shopping/eating street and close to public transportation and Japantown.

The Space

This one-bedroom apartment comes with a large bedroom with a queen-size bed, a living room with a sofa bed that sleeps two, and a full bath with a tub/shower off the bedroom (new high volume shower nozzle!). The fully-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, gas range/oven, microwave, refrigerator and a dining table for four. Laundry is available in our home upon request (free). The apartment 879 square feet so you will not feel cramped!

We live in a great neighborhood, centrally located with great public transportation. The apartment is on the bottom floor/basement of a Victorian House off of Fillmore Street, one of the chic San Francisco neighborhoods close to parks, restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops, boutiques, markets, and many bus lines (1, 2, 3, 22, and 38) and downtown San Francisco. We are also close to San Francisco's live music district, including the Fillmore Auditorium and many jazz clubs. Entry is through our garage. We have a dog who lives upstairs in our home above the apartment. The apartment is pet free.

There is no cleaning fee for 3-day stays and longer. We charge an additional $25 for guest stays of 2 nights, payable upon arrival (cash or paypal)

There is free neighborhood parking, which is generally easy except during weekend evenings or if there is an event on Fillmore St. However, please be aware of the 2-hour parking limit Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM, as well as street sweeping per the posted signs. Also, when you park in our neighborhood (and San Francisco in general) you should curb your wheels to avoid a ticket, which you are subject to when parking on any grade 3% or more. Curbing your wheels means turning your wheels in such a way that if your car were to lose its brakes, it would roll into the curb. There is a public parking garage at Japan Center two blocks away that charges approximately $17/day.

Finally, please contact me before you request a reservation. I want to ensure you are comfortable and have a pleasant stay with us, so I need to know a bit about your party. It is also helpful to me if you create a personal profile on the Airbnb site.

Guest Access

Apartment is separate with a private entrance through our garage. You have your own key and are free to come and go as you please. We live upstairs. Guests have access to our laundry facilities upstairs.

Interaction with Guests

We personally greet all guests, leave SF guidebooks for them, and are happy to answer questions about San Francisco.

The Neighborhood

Steps away from our house is Fillmore Street, a residential shopping street with restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops, a drugstore, boutiques, and grocery shopping -- all within easy walking distance. Also parks nearby. Fillmore Street is one of SF's most desirable neighborhoods and is clean, friendly and a great place to hang out.

Getting around

Lots of bus lines service our neighborhood, making it easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, downtown, The Mission, and just about anywhere else in town. No car necessary! It's also safe and quiet at night.

  • Cinzia was the perfect host in the perfect apartment. Maps and suggestions were left for us - we were spoiled for choice!
The neighbourhood is really good for shops, restaurants, bars and transport.
The apartment was quiet, spacious and very well equipped. In the sudden burst of hot and sunny weather which occured during our stay the apartment was cool and comfortable.

  • We spent very good time in Cinzia's apartment, and felt very welcome by Steve and her. They provided us everything we needed, the apartment is nice and the area is good, close from transportation, restaurants and shops.
Indeed, the sofa couch were not the most comfortable for two adults, but the other mattress was very fine !
    Thank you !

  • We had a great stay here! The apartment was cute and close to fun shops and restaurants. Both the bed and the pullout sofa were comfortable. Cynthia was very hospitable. I would definitely want to stay again!

  • The Apartment was very comfortable with all the facilities we required for our stay in San Francisco. Our 21 year son slept on the sofa bed, which he found comfortable. The Apartment is ideally situated for exploring San Francisco with a bus stop just around the corner if you don't fancy the walk to the water front. There was a supermarket near by to buy provisions. Cinzia and Steve were informative and helpful during our stay.

  • Cynthia and her husband are wonderful hosts and very accommodating. I attended a conference at the Embarcadero Center and coming home to the apartment felt like home. The commute was very easy, a couple of blocks to the bus stop and then a straight ride down Sacramento to the Center. The neighborhood is lovely with many specialty shops and variety of restaurants. On my last day it was raining and my flight wasn't until late evening. Cynthia was very gracious about letting me stay in the apartment through late afternoon until my departure to the airport. I highly recommend staying at this location while in San Francisco. It is central to the rest of the city.

  • We really enjoyed our stay! Cynthia met us early and allowed us to drop off our bags early while the place was getting cleaned. Very large, clean and has everything you need for any stay in SF. The neighborhood is great, we are at The Grove for lunch and breakfast. A Mediterranean place was down the street that was great. Woodhouse was around the corner and was some of the best fish I have ever had. Across the street is the Fillmore bakery, and everything was delish esp the cronuts! Bus lines were pretty convenient and we used a rental car place we could walk to. All in all the location was great for getting some local flavor!
The rental was great and Cynthia was more than accommodating even with our late departure to the airport. There is some foot traffic noise due to the family living their lives, and a very cute dog! But didn't really bother us because we got up on the early side to go see the city! Would definitely recommend this place, for all those reasons, plus the great price!

  • Cynthia and Steve were lovely hosts. Steve was at the apartment to greet us upon arrival, and showed us the ins and outs of the apartment. Apartment was spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location of the apartment is unbeatable- close to all major bus routes, close to great restaurants, boutiques, grocery stores...and an amazing neighbourhood to take a jog. We couldn't have found a better place to stay! Cynthia was always available if we had any questions. We would definitely stay with Cynthia again.

  • This little gem was the perfect base for our trip-down-memory-lane in San Francisco. The location is ideal - scenic walking to shops, restaurants, transportation. Cynthia and her family are congenial, informed and helpful. The apartment is quiet, furnished with everything we could need, and very reasonably priced. I am looking forward to returning.

  • We had a wonderful time at this cosy and well equipped apartment! The host Cynthia and her family were very friendly and welcomed us with a nice bottle of Californian wine :0) Unfortunately it was raining during our stay but Cynthia offered us raingear and a good selection of travel guides, which made it easy to plan our activities in San Francisco. The apartment is close to Fillmore which is a nice street with lots of nice cafes, restaurants and boutiques. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this nicely furnished and very clean apartment and would fully recommend it to couples or a small family!
