This one-bedroom space comes with a large bedroom with a queen-size bed, a living room with a sofa bed that sleeps two, and a full bath and a refrigerator, microwave, sink. Reg # STR-(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)

The space

This one-bedroom space comes with a large bedroom with a queen-size bed, a living room with a sofa bed that sleeps two, and a full bath with a tub/shower off the bedroom. The efficiency kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and a dining table for four. Laundry is available in our home upon request (free). Our downstairs is 879 square feet so you will not feel cramped!

We live in a great neighborhood, centrally located with great public transportation. The apartment is on the bottom floor/basement of a Victorian House off of Fillmore Street, one of the chic San Francisco neighborhoods close to parks, restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops, boutiques, markets, and many bus lines (1, 2, 3, 22, and 38) and downtown San Francisco. We are also close to San Francisco's live music district, including the Fillmore Auditorium and many jazz clubs. Entry is through our garage. We have a dog who lives upstairs in our home above the apartment. The apartment is pet free.

There is no cleaning fee for 3-day stays and longer. We charge an additional $25 for guest stays of 2 nights, payable upon arrival (cash or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN))

There is free neighborhood parking, which is generally easy except during weekend evenings or if there is an event on Fillmore St. However, please be aware of the 2-hour parking limit Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM, as well as street sweeping per the posted signs. Also, when you park in our neighborhood (and San Francisco in general) you should curb your wheels to avoid a ticket, which you are subject to when parking on any grade 3% or more. Curbing your wheels means turning your wheels in such a way that if your car were to lose its brakes, it would roll into the curb. There is a public parking garage at Japan Center two blocks away that charges approximately $22/day.

Finally, please contact me before you request a reservation. I want to ensure you are comfortable and have a pleasant stay with us, so I need to know a bit about your party. It is also helpful to me if you create a personal profile on the Airbnb site.

Apartment is separate with a private entrance through our garage. You have your own key and are free to come and go as you please. We live upstairs. Guests have access to our laundry facilities upstairs.

We personally greet all guests, leave SF guidebooks for them, and are happy to answer questions about San Francisco.

Lots of bus lines service our neighborhood, making it easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, downtown, The Mission, and just about anywhere else in town. No car necessary! It's also safe and quiet at night.

Cynthia and Steve we very helpful and gracious in accommodating our stay. As a family of three from the east coast we wanted to take advantage of public transit and Uber as a primary means of transportation and it did not fail. The bus routes were a bit tricky but the drivers were as helpful as could be (Get Clipper cards at Walgreens which is about 250 feet from the house). If you are staying in the city (individual or family/business or pleasure) and don't plan on leaving the SF area you can't go wrong here! All the SF sites are accessible from this location. The CalTrain was also effective and we rode that to Palo-Alto to visit Stanford University ($7+). A short Uber from the station to the campus. The area is safe with plenty of dining opportunities, clothing shops/boutiques as well as at least 2 Grocery stores within easy walking distance. The kitchen is more than sufficient if "eating in" and cooking or if clean/specific dieting is your preference. If you plan on visiting Sonoma or Napa, rent a car as this is most cost effective. We did not have an issue parking at night during non monitored parking control hours. Alcatraz Traveler Tip! (This you won't find on other message boards) If you didn't secure tickets 6+ weeks in advance then do this: Rather than taking your entire party to the Pier (all attendees required - in person) and waiting in line at 5am (by 7am the line is 100 deep!), pull up the web site on your phone. Keep hitting "Refresh" every 5 - 10 min or so. We did this around 9 or 9:30am and twice, 4 tickets became available. Have your CC handy and DONT BACK OUT if they become available. I made that mistake once. By 10 am I scored 3 tickets (didn't see more than 4 available either time) and we were on the island by 2pm or so, the sameday. Make sure you do the audio tour included in the price of admission. Bottom line is you can't go wrong staying at Cindy and Steve's. We would not hesitate to return. Ennoy!

Great little spot near plenty of restaurants, bakeries, bars etc. Walking distance from Japantown. Parking was somewhat tricky, with mostly 2-hour street parking spots. However, we never had trouble finding spots, and planned our day to avoid needing to move every 2 hours. Loved that the Walgreens was right down the street. The apartment was clean and perfectly equipped with whatever we needed for the few days we were there. Check-in and check-out was super simple. Only note I would make, if there's a lot of foot traffic upstairs, you can definitely hear it, especially at night. Overall, a great experience. Thanks Cynthia!
