One bedroom apartment in a Victorian with living room, fully-stocked kitchen, living room with sofa bed and full bath and large walk-in closet. Centrally located near a great shopping/eating street and close to public transportation and Japantown.
This one-bedroom apartment comes with a large bedroom with a queen-size bed, a living room with a sofa bed that sleeps two, and a full bath with a tub/shower off the bedroom (new high volume shower nozzle!). The fully-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, gas range/oven, microwave, refrigerator and a dining table for four. Laundry is available in our home upon request (free). The apartment 879 square feet so you will not feel cramped!
We live in a great neighborhood, centrally located with great public transportation. The apartment is on the bottom floor/basement of a Victorian House off of Fillmore Street, one of the chic San Francisco neighborhoods close to parks, restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops, boutiques, markets, and many bus lines (1, 2, 3, 22, and 38) and downtown San Francisco. We are also close to San Francisco's live music district, including the Fillmore Auditorium and many jazz clubs. Entry is through our garage. We have a dog who lives upstairs in our home above the apartment. The apartment is pet free.
There is no cleaning fee for 3-day stays and longer. We charge an additional $25 for guest stays of 2 nights, payable upon arrival (cash or paypal)
There is free neighborhood parking, which is generally easy except during weekend evenings or if there is an event on Fillmore St. However, please be aware of the 2-hour parking limit Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM, as well as street sweeping per the posted signs. Also, when you park in our neighborhood (and San Francisco in general) you should curb your wheels to avoid a ticket, which you are subject to when parking on any grade 3% or more. Curbing your wheels means turning your wheels in such a way that if your car were to lose its brakes, it would roll into the curb. There is a public parking garage at Japan Center two blocks away that charges approximately $17/day.
Finally, please contact me before you request a reservation. I want to ensure you are comfortable and have a pleasant stay with us, so I need to know a bit about your party. It is also helpful to me if you create a personal profile on the Airbnb site.
Apartment is separate with a private entrance through our garage. You have your own key and are free to come and go as you please. We live upstairs. Guests have access to our laundry facilities upstairs.
We personally greet all guests, leave SF guidebooks for them, and are happy to answer questions about San Francisco.
Steps away from our house is Fillmore Street, a residential shopping street with restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops, a drugstore, boutiques, and grocery shopping -- all within easy walking distance. Also parks nearby. Fillmore Street is one of SF's most desirable neighborhoods and is clean, friendly and a great place to hang out.
Lots of bus lines service our neighborhood, making it easy to get to Fisherman's Wharf, downtown, The Mission, and just about anywhere else in town. No car necessary! It's also safe and quiet at night.

This little gem was the perfect base for our trip-down-memory-lane in San Francisco. The location is ideal - scenic walking to shops, restaurants, transportation. Cynthia and her family are congenial, informed and helpful. The apartment is quiet, furnished with everything we could need, and very reasonably priced. I am looking forward to returning.
We had a wonderful time at this cosy and well equipped apartment! The host Cynthia and her family were very friendly and welcomed us with a nice bottle of Californian wine :0) Unfortunately it was raining during our stay but Cynthia offered us raingear and a good selection of travel guides, which made it easy to plan our activities in San Francisco. The apartment is close to Fillmore which is a nice street with lots of nice cafes, restaurants and boutiques. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this nicely furnished and very clean apartment and would fully recommend it to couples or a small family!
Our stay at this cute little one bedroom apartment was great! It had beautiful decor and a cruisy set-up, we felt right at home!
Bush st is quite close to public transport and right next to Fillmore street where there is endless shopping, eating and groceries a small walk from the apartment.
The apartment was warm and cosy and was not too close to traffic, it was very safe.
The hosts were amazing, they checked up on us, but were not overbearing and they went to the trouble of even washing and drying our clothes for us so that we could make the most of our trip to San Francisco!
Would stay here again anytime! Lovely place! Lovely people!
Steve and Cynthia were great hosts. The apartment was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and bathroom needs. Steve was very helpful with transportation tips/directions. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. Easy to arrange "check in". It is a basement unit so there was foot noise/muffled voices but nothing unbearable and not consistent. IF you're used to urban living, it is nothing at all. The location is fabulous. Very walkable and close to EVERYTHING - most places around the corner from their place. Great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, public transportation etc. Very safe to meander around. I would highly recommend this place and would stay again upon my return.
We spent a very good time. Cynthia and her husband were very very kind and helped us to enjoy. We really appretiate that.
This was a clean and comfortable apartment in an excellent location. We really enjoyed our stay here- Cynthia was a friendly and helpful host.
Our stay was great. Steve and Cynthia were very accommodating and unobtrusive. Since apartment is in the basement there are slight/faint pitter-patters from above.
The location is convenient for the local Muni system. Overnight street parking can be had if you are patient, otherwise there is a garage in Japantown at a nominal hourly rate. only drawback was pull out couch was uncomfortable for our college aged son
Cynthia and Steve's place was amazing! They had a great place that was very neat, clean, and for all the previous reviews re: a weak shower pressure---that problem was clearly fixed! They had a new showerhead in their bathroom and it had nice water pressure!
Very great hosts and clean apartment--highly recommended to stay here!
The apartment is very comfortable and clean. Settled in convenient time for us without meeting with Cynthia, thank you for this opportunity made conveniently if you come late at night.
My daughters and I stayed for three nights in this wonderful, little apartment. The apartment is in the back of the house on the ground floor so there isn't much street noise from busy Bush street. Only the living room gets a fair amount of daylight but that was fine for our purposes. The kitchen is well-supplied, there were plenty of pots, pans, and utensils.
Cynthia and Steve were very helpful with any request we had. Truly great hosts!
