Lovely apartment, very comfortable, clean and spacious. All of the little extras such as groceries, spare toiletries and the warm welcome were much appreciated. The neighbourhood is great, with easy access to the centre and places nearby to eat and drink. Overall, a great base for exploring Dublin and I'm so glad we stayed here.
Cathal's apartment was very will situated within easy walking distance of many of the popular tourist sites, eateries & convenience stores. It was well appointed, clean, with plenty of room to relax, great to be able to get the washing done. Cathal met us to hand over keys & familiarise us with the apartment - a good apartment in a great location for a self-contained stay in Dublin. Many thanks, Cathal.
We loved our stay at Cathal and Gina's apartment. They were on hand to welcome us and gave us a tour and overview of what we needed. The place was exactly as shown and was centrally located, we could walk anywhere. We will certainly stay there again should we go to Dublin again. Wonderful hosts....lots of little extras and we felt truly at home.
Without a doubt, the best. Our hosts, Cathal & Gina were the most amazing hosts. They helped make the trip a rousing success. Was there for a 60th birthday trip and it would not have been nearly as successful without their help. The flat was exceptional. In a great and trendy location. Plenty of places to grab a "cuppa " in the morning and watch the Liffey River slide by. The flat was very nicely appointed. Toiletries were available if desired and we wanted for nothing on the comfort level. Fridge had cold bottle of water, greatly appreciated after being out all day. Tea, a coffee press and full working kitchen. Private balcony nice for morning cups. As they say "had a great craic " (good time). HIGHLY recommend them and this place to anyone trying to avoid the tourist hotel scene.
Cathal's lovely wife Gina met us at the apartment and helped us to get orientated. The apartment is clean, tastefully decorated, and includes all the nice little perks that make a place feel like home (wifi, laundry, etc.). The ability to use the apartment's parking space was very nice also. We wish we'd been able to stay longer and wouldn't hesitate to book again!
This was my first experience using AirbnB and so I was extra nervous if everything would work out well. I chose this apartment because I had heard that the centre of Dublin could be a little noisy at night time, especially in the week-end which is when our family visited. So for us this property was perfect for us four adults. The walk into the centre of town takes around 15 minutes along the river, so you cannot get lost. And yet the taxi fare, if it is raining or cannot face the walk, is only about 7€ (for the 4 of us). (At night time when our children went out until late the price was higher: some 11€ I believe) So being out of the centre is no big deal. We took a taxi from the airport to the apartment (25€ including luggage).
Cathal was great: he answered all my nervous enquiries promptly, met us at the property and showed us how everything worked. The property was actually nicer than in the photos. Beautifully decorated, well equipped and extremely comfortable beds. The first thing we did was make ourselves a cup of tea - all the ingredients were there - and as it poured with rain all evening we used the spaghetti and sauce that was stocked in the cupboard: such a wonderful thing to have when you are tired and just not up to struggling in the dark to find a restaurant. Thank you Cathal. Once we found our bearings (and it stopped raining) we found that we had a mass of restaurants just round the corner from us. Also a really excellent shop called FRESH (thanks again to Cathal for recommending it), where you can buy groceries and delicious prepared meals, with very long opening hours. The area where the apartment is located also has a very good atmosphere during the day and you feel totally safe and secure at night time. After long hours tramping up and down all the streets of Dublin (I highly recommend the walking tours) it was bliss to arrive "home" - it really did feel like home. So thank you for making our stay in Dublin so memorable and comfortable.

Hi, I am a Dubliner born and bred and love the city. If my family and I can help to make your trip to Dublin more enjoyable just ask. My wife, Gina, has put together a great tour guide which we leave in the apartment. Feel free to add any of your recommendations or tips.
