Middle Park Village (3 restaurants, 1 wine bar, 1 hotel & 3 cafes) and Albert Park Village (7 cafes 1 wine bar, 1 hotel and 11 restaurants) are each within 5 minutes walk.
MSAC is a five minute walk as is the day/night golf driving range.
1.6 km from St Kilda, 500 metres from the Bay and 3 kms from Melbourne CBD.
Truman, one of Melbourne's top coffee shops is just 50 metres away.
For your convenience, the kitchen is available, but why would you want to cook when you have your pick of dozens of Melbourne's best cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep!

Getting from the airport: We can provide you details of a limo driver who will meet you at customs, carry your luggage and bring you to the door for $85 fixed.
Taxis cost between $65 and $80 plus tolls.
Public transport consists of the Skybus to the city and then a tram (but you must buy a MYKI card $5 and then load the card) before you board the tram. Cost about $32 including the cost of the card.

Guests have access to bedroom, their own bathroom, kitchen, dining room and lounge room.
Interaction with Guests
Interaction is at the guests' discretion - usually my day starts much earlier than the guests when I go training as early as 0530 and they end theirs much later than mine.
Most catching up occurs on checking in and just before dinner time.
As I mostly work from home I am never far away.
We have prepared some walks that will introduce you to Melbourne and its little secrets - to take you to Melbourne as Melburnians use and see Melbourne.
We have prepared a driving guide for those who wish to visit the Great Ocean Road and Otways (my favourite cycling destination) - what we highlight the paid tours miss. You can rent a car (driving on the left is no harder for you than driving on the right is for me).
For most enjoyment plan a 2 day trip and if you take 3 days you can return clockwise via the fabulous Grampians instead of retracing your steps.
A quiet street in leafy Albert Park midway between Melbourne CBD and St Kilda. A 300 metre walk from the start of a strip of more than 20 restaurants and pubs.
The room is safe, convenient and spacious. The house is just 3 km from the centre of the city yet has no through traffic.
All located within 600m:

- Restaurants, including the famed Misuzu's & Lina's Bistro a Vin

The beach, Albert Park Golf Course and South Melbourne market are within 10 minutes walk.
There are three different tram routes within 500 metres [Routes #1, #12 and #96] - all go to the city when north bound. The #12 and #96 go to St Kilda when southbound.
The #1 goes to South Melbourne beach when south bound.
There is also a bus two streets away that travels from Port Melbourne to Elsternwick rail station.
Other Things to Note
Friday night. Saturday night or Pubic Holiday reservations must be of at least two days duration.
Public holidays are Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December), New Years Eve and New Years Day, Australia Day (26 January), Labour Day (first Monday in March), Easter Friday and Easter Monday, Anzac Day 25 April, Queen's Birthday (second Monday in June) and Cup Day (first Tuesday in April).
The house rules are really simple. Apply common courtesy and common sense.

COURTESIES of THE HOUSE
•The number 1 courtesy is clean up the mess you make.
•Always place the key safe key back in the safe immediately after use to ensure it is there if you lock yourself out.
•Breakfast will be available from 0730 Monday to Friday and from 0830 on the weekends and remain available until 1000. If you are leaving earlier than that please let me know early enough to be able to do something about it.
•Lock up when you leave.
•Turn off the heaters and or a/c when you leave.
•After preparing food (and before retiring for the night) wash the pots and pans and place all other things in the dishwasher.
•Food is to be eaten only in the kitchen, dining room or outside. Do not eat in the front room or in the bedroom.
•The internet is provided on a fair use basis and will shut down if you make excessive use of it. Using the internet to view You tube and or download movies may result in excessive use.
•You may use the washing machine – one scoop of detergent in the bottom or the machine, load the clothes and then press the top left button and the bottom right button. Adjust the water level if necessary. Take care to load the machine evenly and avoid overloading the machine.
•Please ask before inviting guests back to my house – it may not be possible or convenient if I am having guests over on the same night.
•No smoking in the house and if you smoke outside bin your butts.
•If you have the near perfect body feel free to wander around in your underwear during the middle of the day - otherwise it is probably not a good idea to do so.
Staying with Chris was a great way too experience the Melbourne area! The location is perfect - close enough to the city to shoot in quickly but far enough away for peace and quiet. Chris offers great showings for exploring melbourne too. Finally . . . The breakfasts were awesome - just what one needs for a day of exploring.
Had a great time in Melbourne staying at Chris' home. Room was really comfortable and sheets and towels really nice. The breakfasts that Chris provided were awesome and such a lovely extra.
The home is in a lovely area of Albert Park and is close to trams to Melbourne City and St Kilda.

His place is comfortable and welcoming. Gorgeous area with walks to the beach and restaurants (of which he gave wonderful tips)

The place is exactly as described plus more. Clean, organised with a comfortable bed and pillows, with ample privacy.
The hot shower is an experience to remember, much better than my own place.
The breakfast is more than I ahve got in many hotels; selection of mueslis along with fresh seasonal fruits was just a divine healthy start of the day.
Overall Chris made an extra effort of making me comfortable during my three days of stay. He was quick with his responses, as I made my booking very late, was helpful, caring and courteous host. He even gave me Myki card and provided all the directions.
This place is conveniently situated in beautiful Albert Park, close to Tram station and for me it was just 10min from convention centre. This was my first experience with Airbnb and I am glad I made this decision. If I am ever again in Melbourne, I am certain I will go to Chris's place.
Chris has a lovely home in a fantastic location for exploring Melbourne. We LOVED our stay here in Albert Park! The room was clean, tidy, and very welcoming after long days of exploring the city. Chris made sure we were looked after well and gave us heaps of helpful tips to make our visit to Melbourne so wonderful. Plus, the breakfast he provides is great! Enjoy cycling. Regularly make the one hour drive to cycle along the Great Ocean Road as far as Apollo Bay (from Anglesea that is about 120km return cycling) or the loop through the Otway Forest (about 140km) .
