La Paz, the capital of Baja Sur, has a rich history, delightful people, delicious food, perfect weather, and an easy-going lifestyle that welcomes travelers from all over the world. Despite being a full service tourist city, La Paz manages to remain the most "Mexican" of the Baja cities. You can spend a day wandering the streets, strolling the Malecon (Seaside Boardwalk) abound with shops, restaurants and bars.
Then you can spend a day at the Sea of Cortez (dubbed “The Aquarium of the World” by Jacques Cousteau), which is the home to some of the world’s best fishing, sailing, boating and snorkeling. The uninhabited island Espiritu Santo provides fantastic opportunities to explore the spectacular marine life and is but a short boat rides away.
It is ten min taxi ride from the La Paz airport to the PDM's boat pier at La Paz. The taxis are very reasonable and go around the clock. Free boats bring you in ten Min across the magnificent bay from the seafront of La Paz to the PDM's pier at El Mogote Peninsula. Boats run free from 7:30am to 11:30pm every 30 min (seasonal schedule vary a little) every day. By the time of your arrival well trained staff member with a shuttle will stand by to take you within minutes to your condo.
If flying in Cabo San Lucas airport it takes then about 2 ½ hour to get to the PDM's boat pier in La Paz. The HWY from Cabo to La Paz is a very good four lanes road. You may rent a car or there are buses daily into La Paz. Taxi and private van services are also available.

We had a fantastic 8 night stay in Joseph's condo, our first trip to Baja and loved it! The location is wonderful and peaceful and the condo so comfortable. Our son was thrilled with his own master bedroom and bath. The manager told us it was one of the busiest weeks the development has had (spring break/holy week), yet we didn't feel a hint of crowd. One note for first timers: The pool bar has the only food available and is only open 12pm-7pm, closed Monday. Dinner requires a reservation. If you arrive late in the evening, be sure and get some food/groceries for breakfast before heading over. We hope to return next year!
We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and peace of our condo in La Paz. The endless beach made for great walks and the pool was ideal for relaxing and visiting.
We were greeted as we arrived at the marina, and driven to the condo by the ever-friendly staff. The condo itself was gorgeous - beautiful colours made it feel inviting and homey. And the kitchen was so well equipped, it made it really simple to eat in.
The condo was wonderful. Beautiful décor and comfortable beds. Very close to the pool and beach. Property was clean and well maintained. Pool Restaurant/Bar staff were very friendly/helpful and will cook just about anything you want if you give them notice. Be very careful as the sun turns the sand around the property pretty hot in the late mornings/afternoons. The local host is very attentive and was available on short notice. We were provided a cell phone to call the shuttle for daily trips to the "mainland". If you enjoy kayaking, bring your own paddles. We paddled with dolphins every day and one day there was a group of 30 whale sharks out there as well. The Mexican restaurant just up the hill from the water taxi is the best in town and prices are very good! I think this will be our go-to for La Paz for sure!
