Our cute and cozy cabin/cottage is fully upgraded with hardwood floors, beautiful furniture, excellent linens & bedding, both upgraded bathrooms are ensuite.

The Cottage/Cabin has a heated salt water swimming pool which is usually open between Memorial Day to Labor Day Weekends.... weather permitting.

The space
Our cottage is located across from the Clubhouse and swimming pool which is usually open between Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends, weather permitting. There is also a fire pit and shuffleboard court.

We are in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains - where it is always springtime with clean mountain air.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pan, dishes, bakeware, etc.

We provide all linens. We also provide trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, hand and bath soap, etc.

NON-DISCLOSURE OF PETS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION AND NO REFUNDS!

Utility outages (power, cable, internet) are out of our control and we make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refunds during outages.

Guest access
There is a lockbox on the railing left of the front door. The Code is provided prior to check-in.

You are renting entire cottage plus access to the Alpine Village amenities: Clubhouse including the great room, pool table, free movies, books, games, shuffleboard court and equipment all at no charge. There is a Big Screen TV at the Clubhouse and a gas fireplace. The heated salt water swimming pool is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends. You can also use the gas fire pit that is on the deck by the swimming pool.

Other things to note
Please be aware you are in the mountains and surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest.... so there are many forms of wildlife. Please do not leave any trash bags outside - take them to the dumpster.

We provide the following: Paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap tabs, laundry tabs, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, salt & pepper, coffee filters, coffee to get you started.

Utility outages (power, cable, internet, telephone & water) or swimming pool repairs and maintenance are out of our control. We make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refunds due to outages or availability.

Neighborhood highlights

Mt. Mitchell 2 is within Alpine Village, which has a Community heated salt water swimming pool. It is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends - 10am to dusk daily, weather permitting. Other amenities for your enjoyment include a pool table in the Clubhouse, movies, books and games. Enjoy the shuffle board court or the fire pit on the pool deck. We do sit on top of a mountain, so you will be driving mountains roads - they are all blacktop.

There is plenty to do in the area - hiking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, pottery shops, mountain arts and crafts, wineries, quaint towns, mountain music at The Orchard.

Visit the highest peak East of the Mississippi River - Mt. Mitchell State Park is only about a 30 minute drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway - they have a restaurant with great meals and cobbler!

It is a 10 minute drive to the Mt. Mitchell Golf Course, Roaring Fork waterfall, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Hawtrees restaurant at the golf course.

Dave is a professional. Christa is a retired teacher, plays tennis, volunteers and an avid reader. Both enjoy golf. We like to spend time with our family and friends and love to travel to various cities in the USA and some traveling abroad. We own three cottages - Mt. Mitchell 1 & 2 and Hemlock 2, so if you need additional accommodations, let us know. Christa's Mother, Brenda Brooks, is the Property Manager and lives at Alpine Village.
