Soak up the view during your stay.
Our updated cottage/cabin is quaint and cozy with hardwood floors throughout. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need.

Flatscreen TVs with Dish Network, free WiFi and a gas burning fireplace. Full size washer/dryer. The oversized deck is a great retreat to enjoy mountain views.

The space
The cottage sits across from the heated salt water swimming pool at Alpine Village. The pool is open between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend weather permitting.

You have access to all amenities of the resort - including free use of books, games, the shuffleboard court, pool table, swimming pool and the Big Screen TV in the great room in the Clubhouse. There is also a gas fire pit on the pool deck you can use. Instructions for use are in the cottage.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, bakeware, etc.

All linens are provided. We also provide trash bags, dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, hand and bath soap, etc.

Utility outages (power, cable, internet) are out of our control and we make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refund due to outages.

NON-DISCLOSURE OF PETS WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EVICTION AND NO REFUNDS!

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS (6) is adhered to unless approved by our Manager: ie: infants or toddlers can be an exception.

There is a lockbox on the railing by the front door. Code will be provided prior to check-in.

You will be renting the entire cottage.

You have use of the swimming pool (in season) which is usually Memorial Weekend through Labor Day Weekend weather permitting.

Other amenities are books and games to borrow, a pool table in the lower level of the Clubhouse, a shuffleboard court and a fire pit on the swimming pool deck for your enjoyment.

Other things to note
Quiet Time: 10pm to 8:00 am

Please dispose of your trash in the dumpster on property at the end of Fawn Drive. There is a side door on the dumpster. Toss your bag as far to the back as possible. Do not throw trash bags on top of the dumpster. Since we are surrounded by a Forest, there is wildlife that would tear into trash bags if left outside. So please don't leave any trash bags sitting on the porch either.

We provide the following: Paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, laundry tabs, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, salt & pepper, coffee filters and some coffee to get you started.

Neighborhood highlights

Mt. Mitchell 1 is in Alpine Village, a small community with a resort atmosphere.
The cabin is right across from the Community Clubhouse with a pool table, shuffle board court, movies, games, books, etc. You can enjoy the Community salt water swimming pool which is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends from 10am to dusk weather permitting. There are spectacular mountain views everywhere you look.

Dave is a professional. Christa is a retired teacher, plays tennis, volunteers and an avid reader. Both enjoy golf. We like to spend time with our family and friends and love to travel to various cities in the USA and some traveling abroad. We own three cottages - Mt. Mitchell 1 & 2 and Hemlock 2, so if you need additional accommodations, let us know. Christa's Mother, Brenda Brooks, is the Property Manager and lives at Alpine Village.
