Pitipombo is a recently refurbished (June 2011) spacious and modern holiday accommodation. Decorated by professionals, there is a sober and at the same time, contemporary atmosphere all throughout the apartment.
It is ideally located in the main commercial area in San Sebastian and La Concha Beach is just round the corner (check the map). The pedestrian street is next to the Mercado de San Martin, an excellent quality shopping area where tradition combines perfectly with the latest trends.
This commodious vacation apartment (180 sq. m.) can accommodate up to 10 people. The hall gives direct entrance into the spacious open plan lounge which has been divided into two different areas. On the one side, there are two large sofas, one of them is a sofa-bed, and a 51inch flat screen TV. On the other side, there is a relaxing and bright area next to a baywindow.
At one end of the lounge there are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom, while the other bedroom has two twin beds.
At the other end, there is a colourful and modern fully equipped kitchen, a second bathroom and a dinning room with a large table with seating for 10 people. Next to the dinning room you will find the third bedroom, where there are two single beds which can become four, and the third bathroom.
All bathrooms at Pitipombo have a shower.
Parking under request for 25 euros/day.
One of the strong points about this holiday apartment is its location. Not only will you be staying in a pleasant pedestrian street, right in the main shopping area in San Sebastian, but also a stone’s throw away from La Concha Beach. From here, it is just a five minute stroll along the promenade to the Old Town and the harbour.

San Sebastian’s centre, as it could be expected, represents the heart of the city. It is a very elegant area situated between La Concha Beach and the Urumea River. It borders on the Gros neighbourhood at East, on the Antiguo at West and on the Amara at South.
A great deal of shops and distinctive buildings are found in this area. Among these it is worth mentioning the Town Hall, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre or the Buen Pastor Cathedral.
Bars and restaurants spread out all around this area and if you would like to enjoy some typical pintxos, you can try any of them here. Or perhaps you prefer to pop-in in the Old Town, which is just a five minute stroll away.
La Concha, world famous beach and bay, stands out in this area for its natural beauty but also for the spectacular panoramic views from its promenade. At the same time, La Perla, a thalassotherapy centre pioneer in San Sebastian’s tourism since the beginning of the 20th Century is situated along this walk too.
The Miramar Palace appears as a natural frontier between the Antiguo, Aiete and the Centre neighbourhoods. This palace and its surrounding gardens facing the bay are like a banner for the city, as it was here where the former Royal Family used to spend their summer holidays at the beginning of the 20th Century. Thanks to these prestigious visitors San Sebastian became a very fashionable city among the elite tourism. Nowadays, the Miramar Palace houses the High School of Music of San Sebastian. You will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the bay from here.
Several supermarkets can be found in this area as well as one of the most attractive markets in the city, the San Martin market. Both, traditional and the latest shops are located in this store.
Very close to the city centre, at the entrance of the Old Town, there is another well-known market, La Bretxa. There is also a good combination of traditional and modern shops here, probably the most genuine market in the whole of San Sebastian.
A gorgeous route you may want to take is that going from La Concha to the harbour and from here to the Paseo Nuevo, all along the seaside. Parting from this Paseo Nuevo, you also may feel like going up to Urgull Mountain, just a 15 minute climb. And we can assure you that it will be worth it, as you will enjoy the most beautiful view of San Sebastian right from the top. Coming down from the Mountain, you get back to the Old Town and, after passing by the Town Hall, you will reach La Concha again.
If you come to visit the city by car, you will find that there are various public carparks in the city centre: La Concha, Boulevard, San Martín, Okendo, Amara and Buen Pastor.
Thanks to a modern and wide network of public transport, the Antiguo is very well connected to the other city neighbourhoods. For more information on public transport you can visit the official webpage: (website hidden)
Great apartment. Right in the middle of everything ... The apartment was huge and very comfortable. Juan was easy to communicate with ... i hihly recommend staying here. Oscar
This was my first time I have used AIR N B. Having been recommended the facility by my well travelled friends. I found the web site easy to use with no complications.
After a little searching and juggling different accommodation options on the website. We decided on the PITIPOMBO apartment in San Sebastian. The photos accurately display the property. We were met on time at the apartment by an 'agent' who showed us round the apartment. Gave us Keys and reassured us etc. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable. I am happy to recommend this apartment for future travellers. Situated a 3 minute walk from the beach. Very centrally located to shops, restaurants etc . We were a group of 4x professional adults from London. Staying three nights. Aged 35+. We felt the accommodation was fairly priced and would be happy to stay here should I visit San Sebastian again. We didn't meet the owner Juan. but felt well looked after by his agency 'Free Rentals'. We had contact phone numbers in emergencies etc......In brief. Am happy to recommend a stay in this comfortable property, and will hope to use Air N B for future trips away!
Great location and perfect for larger groups or people with kids. If you want to be on the door step of both beaches, the shopping district and the old town you couldn't ask for more. The agent (Juan) was very helpful and gave some great restaurant recommendations. Decor is starting to look a little tired in places but nothing drastic. Place was well cleaned and tidy when we arrived.
Great apartment, great location, good wifi and comfy beds. Arrival was easy and checkout too. Highly recommended.

A superb apartment, smack bang in the commercial centre of town, five minutes walk from the old town. Very cosy, well furnished, stylish, quiet, but in a vibe-y district full of great shops, next to outstanding market. Loved the giant TV, fast wifi, comfy beds, good kitchen and the giant city map in the hall.
