Interaction with Guests
Greet you with a warm hello, let you know the in's and out's of the home then set you free.
If you are looking for more personalized attention and would like advice where to go what to do, we will provide that too.
Set back behind one of Utah's most iconic buildings, the Utah state capitol. You are at the center of everything you need. 1/2 block walk to the east and down the hill you will find memory grove. A portion of the park is an off collar dog park, the other half is full of historical sites and memorials.
If you are visiting on the weekend and would like to attend any particular church services, please let us know to which ones so we can locate them and the appropriate time for attending.
One of my favorite pass times is to take a walk on the immaculately manicured paths around the capitol or relaxing inside.

FREE public transit!
From our home to anywhere down town your travel is free see picture for free fare zone. Limited Saturday and Sunday Service also available.
Across the street on the top of the hill is a bus stop that can take you anywhere you want to go. Immediately down the hill is our light rail system known as TRAX that takes you to and from the airport, as far east as sugar house, as far south as Draper and Harriman, and as far west as west valley. Seriously easy to get relatively anywhere you need. If you plan your route ahead of time you can even take public transportation to many of our skii resorts.
However... you may not need any of it as all of downtown Salt Lake is within walking distance.
Other Things to Note
You're doin' fine! You have made it this far, you are ready to book!
Be respectful to all around you, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Please only Eat and drink in the kitchen, clean up any spills quickly, and take off shoes upon entering.
As there are other Airbnb units at this property we ask all to be mindful of parking so others can exit the drive way and that noise levels be kept lower during the late nights and early mornings.
Please clean up messes and if you must ruin towels please use a towel that has already been ruined :) Makeup, nail polish... etc should be removed using one of the colored towels and not the nice white ones. (yeah I know.. you know.. but you'd be surprised at the number of towels ruined, thank you for still reading you're great!)
Skylar was helpful via phone and e-mail. I never met him personally. The location was very good. Close to the Tabernacle which offered Sunday choir rehearsal and afternoon organ concert that were excellent. We did not use the bus stop, but took some very nice walks. Lacking is TLC of the outside. Overgrown bushes, tons of weeds, that detract from what could be a nice home. The house itself has potential, but at this stage is very minimal. We sensed that it was to make money, not to please guests. There was nothing on the walls, some of the lights didn't work. The hair dryer blew after a minute. The kitchen was minimally equipped with only 3 coffee cups for four people. The cleanliness was ok at best. There was no face soap in the bathroom and the pipes shook when the water turned off. The price was reasonable, but I can see why he had to lower the price. Assuming that he is just getting started, there is potential with this place, and if he invests a few hundred dollars to make it homey and better supplied, it would be to his advantage. The kitchen was not conducive to cooking and there was no dish washer. The fridge was empty, unlike other places we stayed. That is not to say he was to stock it, but a jar of jam would have been nice. There were no paper products in the kitchen, and no kitchen towels. The price may be right for people only wanting to "crash", and that is what it is at this point. One reason we choose homes to stay is because we prefer to cook. Hopefully, he will build on these remarks.
We apologize you didn't find all that you wanted. When our guests message us with concerns during their stay we immediately fix them. When you come back please simply send us a message, we'll resolve any concern immediately as we do with all other guests. We'd even trim the bushes if that is what you need :)
Glad we were able to give you an inexpensive place to stay in Salt Lake!
The pictures don't do justice to the place. This place is very cozy and spacious. Our kids (2 and 4) enjoyed running around the place. The cherry on top was the view of the Capitol at night. Skyler was very responsive and attentive. His restaurant recommendation was spot on. It was a pleasure staying at this house even for 1 night, and communicating with Skyler.
A really great apartment in a nice area of Salt Lake with a stunning view of the State Capitol and mountains; an easily walkable distance to downtown (or a very cheap uber ride). The apartment is huge and easily accommodates 2/4 in separate rooms. Others would have space too. Would recommend staying here and would do again if I came through salt lake.
Skyler was a great host and the house was perfect. We were in town to visit our kids who are attending the University of Utah. The house was clean and comfortable. The big living room was perfect for having the kids over for take-out food and board games. The house is close to downtown and convenient to shops and restaurants.
Would recommend Skylers place.
Skyler's place was newly remodeled and made you feel at home and comfortable immediately. With a beautiful view of the mountains and the capitol building, he lives in a charming neighborhood that will be very difficult to book come busy seasons, so book early.
