5 Minutes from Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, North Carolina, 15 minutes from TEIC. 45 minutes from Asheville. The Grain Cottage has a rustic cozy feel yet updated with modern conveniences. Bathroom with standup shower. Air condition with heat and air, ceiling fan. Queen size bed, Mini fridge, microwave, sink, countertop area. Vintage dresser. Overlooks several different pastures with goats, highland cows, and chickens. Meander around the farm, visit the animals. Enjoy a little bit of heaven.

The space
We are a working farm with Heritage breed livestock. The farm has lots of history we would love to share with you if you would like a tour around the grounds. Our pastures have gates that are safe to interact with animals. If the sound of Horse, Cows, or Dogs bother you we may not be the place for you. However if you want to block that out to sleep in-we do have white noise sound machine by the bed you may enjoy. In addition please join our experience page to sign up for our Highland cow experience.

My mom told me I always wanted to own a farm even when I was a little girl. Just a farm girl at heart. My husband John and I moved out here in 2013 and started on this journey of owning our own farm. Animals and the the love they bring to your heart is something that can not put into words you just have to experience it. If you want to further your experience while staying here ask us about Highland Cow & Home tour experience.
