The space
Once a "tour home of the future" we are continuing the original mission -- experience this unique futuristic architecture for yourself, by youself -- we only take one booking, for up to 8 guests, at a time.
Located near two of Sedona's most popular vortexes -- Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock, enjoy our woodsy 3.5 acres with cafes, restaurants, upscale grocery store, shops, galleries, spas, bike rental, public golf course and trail heads just around the corner.
The Sedona Domes is extreme architecture at its most spacious and gracious— 10 soaring cement domes well lit by skylights, bright white interior, and contemporary eclectic furnishings.

Your private guest quarters are the two largest and tallest domes, with your own front door, kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathrooms, and a 1000-square-foot Great Room, and enclosed outdoor courtyard. Plenty of room to spread out, and great photo ops, inside and out!

Guests' private, dedicated domes = 2 largest = 2,000+ sq ft
Number of Guest bookings at a time = 1 (it's only you here)
Number of Guests in your party = up to 6 (accommodate 2 more with advance notice)
Number of on-site hosts = 2 (owners Laura Lee & Paul, in our private half of the house)

As the only guests, you have your own front door, your own kitchenette, your own two bathrooms and bedrooms, your own great room, your own courtyard with BBQ, fire pit, seating. There are locked doors between Host's half of the ring of domes, and our Guests' half of the ring of domes. Hosts or Co-Host are on-site, but out-of-sight, to respond to text requests.

Parking: lots of level, on-site space, can accommodate multiple cars and big rigs. Electric vehicles can charge up at The Collective, it's within walking distance.

Phone/Internet/TV/DirecTV Satellite/DVD: We have good cell phone reception for most carriers. Strong password-protected, high-speed wi-fi throughout. Two big-screen smart TVs with HDMI outlets. DirecTV Satellite gets many (not all) sports games. DVD player in Great Room.

What's In the......
Ground-floor Ensuite Guest Room: Comfy side-by-side queen beds, desk, smart TV. Closet with shelf and extra luggage racks, hangars, extra blankets. Ensuite bathroom with shower/tub, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels.

Loft up the spiral stairs: 1 King bed + 1 Full bed + 1 Twin. Table & chairs.

Second Bathroom: On ground floor at foot of stairs for those in the loft. Spacious with multiple mirrors and enclosed WC for multiple users, closet space, hangars and full-length mirror so you need not lug luggage up the stairs.

Great Room Dome: Groups enjoy the many different things they can do, relaxing in multiple seating areas, while being together. Relax on the sunken sofas around the big screen TV or curl up on the curved sofa around the 8-foot long fireplace. Play cards or games, or dine around at the table and chairs, or plan your hikes and excursions with our three-ring binders full of local things to do and see.
NOTE Re EXTRA GUESTS: There are two more comfy sturdy twin beds for extra guests, which can be made up in advance upon request. At night, these two beds are afforded privacy (in effect having their own, and largest “third” bedroom) and the bathroom (shared with whoever in your group is using the loft’s 3beds) is easily accessible. We do have an extra guest fee for guests #7 & #8 beyond the first six. However note that with the two extra beds made up it’s a total of 7 beds (two of which are queen beds)

Open-Air Courtyard: The fire pit, bistro tables and chairs, lounge chairs, BBQ and outdoor sink. Here you’ll see the courtyard side of the ring of domes that enclose it.
Rock Column Circle: 10 columns, 7-9 feet tall, enclose a 30-foot diameter circle for yoga, sunrise and sunset viewing, and when installed, walking the labyrinth.

Kitchenette: Microwave. Toaster. Small fridge/freezer with ice trays. Bar sink. Keurig coffee maker with coffee pods. Electric tea kettle. Tortilla warmer. Rice cooker. Small pancake griddle. Silicone egg cooker. Mugs and glasses, plates, silverware, napkins, trays and serving bowls, trays, and dishes for appetizers. Wine glasses and corkscrews. Cutting board. Ice bucket.
we provide coffeepods, assortment of herbal and black teabags. Salt, pepper, sugar.
BBQ: on a wide outdoor counter with sink, shade trellis and lighting. BBQ tools, mits, skewers and interchangeable grill and flat griddle plate.

Well-Water: straight from the aquifer, our 700 foot-deep well water passes all quality tests.

Pathways: cement pathway leading from the on-site parking area to front door is well lit; there are three steps or use the ramp.

Provided in bedrooms and bathroom -- Linens, blankets and pillows, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow-dryer, makeup remover pads, first aid kit. Iron & ironing board upon request. All beds have new, thick foam mattresses.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations and follow Airbnb's new cleaning guidelines.

Did we mention all the great photo ops, inside and out, to share with your friends? This is a fun and unique one-of-a-kind home! However, it's not a set for filming commercially, however it could be with advance arrangements.

Guest access
The two tallest and biggest Domes are yours to enjoy exclusively. Your private front door opens onto your two guest domes. The great dome is the hub for all guest sleeping quarters as well as TV, games and card table, electric fireplace, and kitchenette.
-- Free guest wifi
-- Two private Smart big screen TVs with Direct TV, HDMI & DVD
-- Outdoor enclosed Courtyard with tables and chairs, fire pit, BBQ
-- On Site Parking — lots of it!
Please note Hosts live and work in other half of this house with lockable privacy doors between their your private guest space and their home. So they are on call to accommodate requests and answer questions.

Other things to note
*No Smoking (of anything) or Vaping Inside house or grounds. Strictly enforced with an extra cleaning fee of $200 if violated. We maintain our non-smoking status for incoming guests. Do let all members of your group (for whom you are responsible) know our open-air courtyard is the only designated, permitted smoking area.
*Sorry, no pets due to allergies, no exceptions (though we love animals!)
*You'll find a Red Rock hiking-trail-head parking-pass to borrow that covers many but not all of the trails.
*We host one guest booking at a time for up to 6 or 8 guests of same party. Number of guests registered in your booking must match number in your group. Additional guest fee for 7th and 8th guest.
*For security, upon your arrival, let us know it's you at the front door, activating the Ring Video doorbell. This home is popular with curious tourists!
*You won’t be sharing the house with other guests. The Hosts live in the other half of this 5,500 sq ft ring of ten domes. Set up like a town home, there are locked doors between your private domes and the Host's private domes.
*You are in charge of the front door. Please lock it and turn out lights when you are out for the day, and keep key in lock box for safekeeping. (punch in code once to open, a second time to close. Hit C to clear if jammed) We may be far away should you loose it on the trail, or if one member of your party needs to return before the rest.
*We are not set up for toddlers or very young children. Older children love the domes, and the crazy acoustics are practically a science experiment. Musicians also love it, but those with very sensitive hearing or tinnitus may not.
*We happily host many birthday parties. Due to previous accidents, we can no longer allow wax/flame candles (spilled wax is not kind to carpets) or standard tape on our walls or furniture to hang up signs (pulls off paint when removed)
*Dropping hot styling hair tools or irons can leave burn marks in the carpet that necessitate professional remediation for which guest is charged.
*Near a busy main road, but you won't hear it inside these 8-inch-thick, well-insulated cement walls.
*Pipes are old and cranky. Don't throw anything down toilets but TP, use the trash bins. Kitchenette sink has no disposal, throw nothing down it -- wipe grease and oil with paper towels. Take full bags of trash to the clock tower.
*Guest Rooms face south so get early morning sun.
*Please be sure all members of your party are happy with the sleeping arrangements: The main ground floor Guest Room has its own bathroom and closet, desk, 2 queen beds and smart TV. The second guest room is the spacious, second-story Loft, accessed by a spiral staircase. The Loft has half walls, and is not visible from the ground floor, with 3 beds: 2 twins and 1 full-size. These guests use the spacious bathroom at foot at stairs; the closet area has full-length mirror on back of door, hooks, hangars, and portable luggage racks. Use switch at the top of the stairs turns on sconce light below.
*Extra cooling for the Loft can be had with the fan switch half way up the stairs. It shoots cooler air from below up an enclosed shaft to circulate in the Loft.
*Option for two additional beds: the Great Room Dome has two lounge chairs that convert to two twins with thick foam mattress. Host will make up these beds upon request, brining total beds to 7.

Location

Sedona, Arizona, United States

The two most popular hiking/vortexes are nearby: Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock. While surrounded by Nature and easy access to hiking and bike trails, it’s a short walk or drive to a public-welcome golf course and The Collective, a brightly painted collection of cafes, fine dining, art galleries, shops, seasonal farmers market and event space. Nearby are banks, drugstore, upscale grocery store, spas, more cafes, bike rental, and frequent art fairs. Its a few minutes drive to several more popular trail heads and 20 minutes to the thick of Sedona’s tourist area, 30 minutes to Cottonwood’s fun, funky old town section and big box stores and a couple hours to Phoenix and airport. Driving from the Village through Sedona one gets a grand and close-up view of the stunning red rocks. Yes, this is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

My husband Paul and I have the same interests and life goals — alternative architecture being one of them! So when we happened upon a 5,500-square-foot, ten-dome home in Sedona, one of our fav locations, we instantly saw that a) this home is a living sculpture..... b) is this where The Jetsons meet The Flintstones!?! ...... c) this home could also serve as a cool way-station to meet and greet fellow explorers from all over the globe (travel and great conversation in fabulous settings being additional passions). This home started life as a “tour home of the future” and we are happy to continue that original mission of introducing this unique architecture to the world. And so, after much TLC, upgrades, and new furniture and fixtures, we are excited to add hosting to our Airbnb adventuring! PS we are still nomads at heart and get out and about traveling about half the year ;-)
