A warm welcome to Stone Meadows Country Estate!
We trust you shall enjoy your stay with us. Please let us know if we can assist you in any way to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.
Just a couple of notes for your interest...
Our Pets
The Dogs
We have 6 dogs, of which 2 are English Bull Terriers, the male is Robber he is black with white markings (he is shut away while the other dogs are out, please don’t go near his area), the other smaller female is Tessa (she is the mom of Pirate, who is black and white and Tito, brown), she is brindle and white. Jackson (the father), is a black and white Pit Bull and Celina is the Jack Russel.
PLEASE! DO NOT FEED OR ALLOW THE DOGS IN THE COTTAGES! Please also inform us if you are not happy with the dogs around, we will put them away.
The Horses
There is a lovely herd of horses on the farm which we use for out rides, children’s holiday camps and lessons. Please feel free to enquire with Eleanor should you perhaps like to go for a scenic ride out in the country. Please do not enter the camps with the horses unsupervised. The horses are usually kept in the camp below the Family Furrow cottage, so as to allow guests freedom of walking around the farm and also for viewing purpose, if any guests are not happy with them there, please inform us and we will move them to another holding camp.
Our Sheep stud
We have a small flock of Demara, Black Headed Dorper and Meat Master sheep, which you will find up the top end of the farm. Please be careful of the Rams.
The Dairy Goats
There are Toggenburg and Saanen milking goats, that browse on natural bush on the farm.
We milk twice a day at 7am and 4pm. During the kidding season, we offer a goat kid interaction for children to touch and learn more about the goats.
Please feel free to enquire further about a price list on a select range of fine goat’s cheese available.

Rabbits and Chickens
We have a small farm yard of lay hens, broiler chickens and rabbits, which are all touch friendly. Please make sure children are not unattended when going to see these animals. Make sure all gates are closed behind when entering and exiting.
Other animals in the area
We encourage an echo friendly environment here at Stone Meadows and live in harmony with nature therefore please do not disturb any flora and fauna on walks or otherwise.
There are Vervet Monkeys in the area, so should you wish to go out at any stage, please ensure your doors and windows are shut.
Other animals include, Leopard, Bush Pig, Duiker, Bush Buck, Warthog, Brown Hyena, Baboon, Porcupine, Squirrel and various other small game. Please remember we are in the bush and snakes may be around, so be vigilant on walks and hikes.
The dam is stocked with Kurper, Yellow Fish, Carp, Morkel and Tilapia. We only offer fishing on a catch and release basis and do not hire out fishing equipment. There is a small boat on the dam, which may be used at your own risk. Please check water levels of the dam due to no rain.
Swimming Pool and Dam Water Rules (NO! cottage towels permitted for pool/dam)
Please exercise due care with small children at all times around the water areas. No children are allowed unattended. Please do not allow children to climb on the side walls of the swimming pool. Suitable swimming attire is required when using the pool.
