This place was perfect. I am a frequent traveler to Asheville and have tried many different accommodation styles and this is by far one of my favorites. If you're visiting with a group like we were or looking for a family or couples retreat, I feel like Annie's place could be just the thing. Everything was spotless and comfortable. It was just a quick skip into downtown and all the main thoroughfares so travelling was a breeze. This place gets all the checks and all of our warm and fuzzies. Highly recommended.
Hey! Great little spot in East Asheville. Close to everything- a very cozy cabin. Great heat! We enjoyed our stay there very much.
This cabin was so charming and sweet!! The only reason why I did not give a five star rating is because the bed was not very comfortable, everything else was great! We would absolutely stay again!!
Our group really enjoyed our stay at the Dreamer's cabin. It was perfect for two couples; plenty of privacy on either side of the cabin with all the amenities you could ask for. We look forward to our next trip up so we can stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at the Dreamer's Cabin October 13 - 19. The cabin itself is quite charming and comfortable. It is conveniently located to the activities we were engaged in at Asheville. We would stay here again if we were in Asheville and recommend it to those who contemplate a similar stay (accommodations) when visiting Asheville.
We spent two nights, Oct. 4-5, 2013 at the cabin. Very comfortable accommodations. Everything worked: TV, wireless internet, gas grill, hot tub. Pretty neighborhood and great walk up the hill via Cisco Rd to plateau where we had view of the valley. Great location for getting around Asheville for hiking, shopping, taking young children to parks, and dining. No problem preparing regular meals in the kitchen.
"My wife and I joined another couple for a 4 day trip to North Carolina in
September. we were excited by the presentation of the "Dreamer's Cabin"
and looking forward to a fun celebration. Upon arrival, we were somewhat
disappointed in the overall condition of the cabin, especially the minimal
air conditioning provided. The AC was not running, so the cabin was sultry
and sticky. I then called the contact number, and it was answered by a
lady who identified herself as "working with Annie". I asked about the AC,
and she suggested that we turn on the 3 (tiny!)units, and they would catch
up so we would be comfortable that evening.
I also asked her to have Annie return my call at her convenience. While I
was doing this, My wife and our lady friend checked out the Hot Tub, and
announce that there was no way they would use it. It was not clean enough
for them. I received no response from Annie that day or the next day.
On the 3rd Day (Wednesday) we traveled to the mountains for a wedding
ceremony for our fiends (the primary reason for the trip). We planned to
return to the cabin about 5, then have a wedding dinner at the Biltmore
Inn. When we arrived at the cabin to change, I discovered that I had left
the only provided key inside, and locked up the cabin! What a bummer!
I used my wife's phone to call Annie for help (mine was dead from use in
the mountains), and tried twice to reach Annie. Both times I got Terry's
answering machine. I left messages, but got no response. I finally called
a locksmith, who came to our rescue. $60 later we were in the cabin and
then on our way to Biltmore Inn for a lovely evening. I did call Terry
again (from my phone) to leave a message that we had solved our immediate
problem. I did ask agian that I be contacted by Annie, but when I have yet
to hear a word from her. I would not rent from her again!"
Dreamer's Cabin was very nice, we enjoyed the hot tub but never got around to making a fire. We had a full house but there was plenty of room, only room too small for us was the kitchen, but we just took shifts helping prepare meals. Annie provided a seamless experience, we arrived at the house and got settled in with no hiccups.
This was all of our first airbnb experience and we will definitely do it again.
Great location, easy to find, near to downtown and other activities.
