Interaction with Guests
I only see guests when meeting them for keys.
Centrally located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Portland. Downtown is just a short walk away. Or stay close-by and enjoy the chill neighborhood vibe and restaurants that Portland has become so famous for. Distillery Row and many brew-pubs are all within walking distance! There are only a few other places to stay in this zip-code which makes this unit a real gem!
Downtown is so close you can walk there in 20-25 minutes. Take a walk along the river-front, check out the lovely rose gardens in Ladd's Addition, or head just two blocks up to Colonel Summers Park and you might be treated to the sounds of Modest Mouse rehearsing nearby. Like most of Portland, the neighborhood has a reputation for being very safe... you never need to worry about walking places alone or at night or anything like that.
You can take the #15 bus that stops just across the street. If you bring a car, there is also plenty of on-street non-metered parking. Car2Go member?.. we have Car2Go's here! Cabs can be called and on average arrive within ten minutes. If you bring a bike, there is a bike storage room in the building.
Other Things to Note
If there is anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, please don't hesitate to ask. While I am out of your hair after you check in, I am only a phone call or text away should anything arise.. happy to help!
As you can probably tell when you first arrive, I like to keep the place clean and tidy. I kindly ask that you do everything you can to keep it that way during your stay. There is a vacuum cleaner, broom, mop, and other cleaning supplies. Even any mishaps should occur, please attend to them right away.
Great accommodations. Very neat, clean, and comfortable. Portland was cold when we stayed there, but the heater was fabulous. Particularly liked the double secure-access. No problem connecting with Trystan or gaining access; it was all very convenient. Lots to do within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. Definitely a studio apartment as the bed is located in the same room as the sofa. This is a little hard to tell from the photos, but it wasn't an issue as there was plenty of space for our belongings.
This was my favorite location during my stay in Portland! Trystan was very friendly and accommodating. The place was super clean, comfortable, and within walking distance to many cafés, breweries, and shops off Belmont. I would definitely stay here again.
Despite some problems contacting Trystan, we did make contact and he was very welcoming. The apartment was sweet, quiet, and clean. It's very easy to access (street level), parking was not particularly difficult, and it is minutes drive to downtown and the hippest eateries in Portland.
Trystan's place was great. It was conveniently located, walking distance or a short bus from a bunch of things we wanted to do. Trystan was easy to get in touch with (though we didn't meet him) and the place was spotlessly clean. The kitchen came in handy, and the heater worked a charm for those freezing nights.
The kitchen tap was leaking noisily on our arrival, but it was easily muffled and he said he would get it repaired while we were there if we wanted. We also had a bit of trouble connecting to the Wifi, sometimes it would drop out and it took a long time to connect if at all. These were minor issues though because most of our time was spent out of the apartment.
Trystan quickly responded to our inquiries while booking his listing and also during our stay, even though it was during the holidays.
When we arrived, the place was clean, as described, and had everything ready for us, including toiletries in the bathroom and light snacks in the fridge.
The location of this listing was perfect for our trip as it was within minutes of Downtown Portland, just over the Morrison Bridge. The surrounding neighborhood felt safe, the people was friendly, and the local bars and restaurants were welcoming.
I would not hesitate to stay at Trystan's place again the next time our travel takes us to Portland.
The studio is as described in the listing. We found it hard to communicate with Trystan prior to our arrival, but after we got in touch with him, everything was fine. The location is great.
The apt was just as described. Simple studio with all the staples in a great location. It was just what we needed for a weekend of exploring PDX. Trystan was very accommodating with our off hours arrival and departure times. Thanks, Trystan.
