Fantastic location in a hip and culturally diverse area of London. In the immediate area is Roman road market and Victoria park. Take the no 8 bus towards Hoxton and the lively local street markets of Columbia Road flower market, Brick Lane, Broadway Market, Spitalfields and Pettycoat Lane. Much loved by artists and city financiers alike the area offers vibrant restaurants, music venues, bars and night life as well as renowned galleries and museums - the Cube and Geffrye Museum being perhaps best known.
Alternatively take a leisurely stroll through the City to St Pauls, over the Millennium Bridge to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and have some lunch at The Tate Modern. Or head West and wonder around antique Bloomsbury, explore the wonderful treasures of the British Museum and pop in at one of the four Inns of Court to get a feel for medieval London. If you are feeling energetic there are many cycle paths along the canals which are great for poodling around on a lazy Sunday with a pit stop at the local pub.

Interaction with Guests
I travel frequently so I have a housekeeper that takes care of the house. I'm always available on email or (website hidden) .
I've lived in the East End on and off for 20 years. I love the bargains you find in the Roman Road market, the friendly Eastenders, and the space and nature of Victoria Park and Regents Canal.
No 8 bus, straight through Shoreditch and the City to Oxford Street...or Mile End Tube. Very easy...my main preference is cycling on the 'Boris bikes'
Other Things to Note
2 days minimum booking just to fill up the gaps I have on the calendar.
Please respect my neighbours, no late parties.
Please no spray on orange tans as in the past it stains all my bed linen!!
The wood surface in the kitchen no candles or hot things directly onto the wood (can damage easily) -
I spent thousands installing the pebbled Balinese floors, please appreciate the reflexology and 'touching the earth' - please take off your shoes on the middle and top floor. You'll appreciate the space more as it will not have the energy of the streets of London in your sleeping areas. Internet code: 2d593782cd
This is a great house in a good location. It looks even better than on the pictures. Check-in and out was smooth. Highly recommended
Our family of 7 adults had a great stay at Claires house in early September. The location was within walking distance to the Mile End tube station and the number 8 bus (right outside the door) which goes to the Bethnal Green or Liverpool tube stations or number 388 (I think?) Which drops you near Mile End tube. You are also near a few parks which were nice for exploring.
When we arrived at the house we learned their was a miscommunication between Claire and her housekeeper Nellie, and the house was not clean. We were able to reach Claire in Bali, and she got her housekeeper and friends to come over and clean while we took a walk to get some food.
The house has three bedrooms and we put two, two and three (upstairs room with bathroom, we used mattress from couch on first floor) guests in each room, and that worked great. As a previous reviewer mentions there are no hand towels, so bring your own, otherwise we had what we needed.
As mentioned in the posting, the lighting is very different. Our group didn't care for the different colors much and would have preferred regular lighting, but we managed. The heated flooring in the top floor bathroom made up for it!
Also, the hot water did not last for everyone to take a shower. Several of us ended up taking cold showers during our week long stay.
The locking and unlocking of the doors was a little confusing to a few of us and somehow in the mix of packing and leaving for our next destination, someone in our group inadvertently took one of the side door keys with us. We are mailing that back to Claire now.
Overall, a great experience for our first trip to London and Claire was responsive to our questions and needs.
We had a great time in London. The house was nice with good sleeping rooms and bad rooms. Although we have used a few times the take away food we have also used the kitchen which worked perfectly.
It is a nice location with good and easy transport possibilities to London downtown.
If we need it another time we will rent it again.
We stayed at Claire's place for one week for a congress and were very happy. The place is clean and large enough for 6 People to feel good.
The Apartment is situated just 100meters from the next busstop, from wehre you can reach three different stations (for central-, district- and circle-line as well as for the DLR) within 10 minutes. thus, from Bank to the Apartment you need 20minutes max.
You have several Food-stores and cheap Restaurants nearby an a Dominos Pizza next door.
Just to clarify the ad:
3 Bedrooms with a doublebed each. Two bathrooms with a toilet and shower each plus a bathtub in one of them. 2 more singlebeds when using the Couch in the living-room.
Good kitchen and well equipped.
Man kümmert sich also!
