A wonderful host and a beautiful apartment! It exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a great and safe area of Marrakech. Dana was the perfect host and provided us with all our requirements and made this trip run smoothly.
We would like to thank Dana greatly and Aicha for the most wonderful breakfast!
Though we never met Dana, she was frequently in correspondence with us; providing information on the local area and checking how we were.
The apartment was just like the pictures and descriptions provided- if not nicer.
The location is perfect. Five minute walk from Marrakech train station, making it easy to direct taxi drivers, and a 20 minute bus ride to Medina.
We cannot say enough about how nice and comfortable the apartment was. There was plenty of space to relax and the apartment has so much character.
Aicha, the housekeeper, arrived every morning to clean and make us breakfast which was lovely.
I would strongly encourage people to stay at Dana's, we had a fantastic time.
We really loved staying at Dana's apartment. It was very spacious, very clean and decorated with lots of interesting arts and crafts. The location of the apartment was perfect for us as we didn't want to be amongst the hustle and bustle of the Medina but it was only a straight forward 20 minutes walk or a short taxi ride away from it. The neighbourhood is very nice and we felt safe walking around day and night. Dana is a great host, she greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment, she also gave us some great information on some of the local restaurants and help with any questions we had about our stay. Each morning the lovely Aicha came to cook us a delicious breakfast and cleaned. We were greeted at the airport by Hassan (Dana organised the pick up) who took us straight to the apartment. Hassan is very friendly and helpful with organising trips. Also the train and coach station are both directly opposite which is useful if your planning day trips.
We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend Danas beautiful apartment to anyone thinking of visiting Marrakech.
Thank you for having us Dana, we hope to see you again.
We arrived very late in Marrakesch and were still welcomed warmly. The Apartment is extremely tasteful and nicely furnished. It shoes that Dana knows a lot about Interior design. We felt much at home and would have loved to stay longer. One of my friends bought one of Danas hats from her and it remains a pretty Souvenir.
Dana is a great host. Her apartment is absolutely amazing, but she went beyond and was always responsive to our needs. This exceeded our expectations.
Fabulous apartment a short cab ride away from the craziness of the medina! Everything was as described, and the daily breakfast was a welcome and very nice touch - highly recommended. Close to the train station, another plus.
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
About the Host, Dana
I am an American designer who has worked in international cinema in Morocco for the past 24 years becoming a real "Moroccan specialist". I am based in Marrakech, but have worked and traveled extensively in all of Morocco and Mauritania. I have accumulated so much information about this part of the world through my work and travels and I love to share it.
I specialize in combining the traditions of the artisan with modern manufacturing and will be launching a collection of textiles in the near future.
