Rustic & homey place with the feel of a far away "home". I appreciated the friendliness and personal interaction with Jay & Cynthia. I enjoy places that "walk away from the noise". This perfectly fits the bill while allowing me to get into town in a couple heartbeats.

Robert and I loved our stay! Jay was a wonderful host. Several walks on the property helped revitalize us...and we can't forget about the sweet dog, Lucy! The apartment was our home base while visiting the Salem area. We'll be sure to stay again the next time we visit Salem.

We had a great stay at this place. It is tucked away into work feels like the middle of the countryside, and yet you are still so close to the highway and nearby shops and restaurants. We arrived late and were greeted by Jay who was just as kind and helpful as the reviews we read before coming. The room is very comfortable and functional with all the amenities you could need. Lovely place!

Jay and Cynthia's place was exactly as described and was perfect for our trip. It was a lovely place to come home to at the end of a full day of exploring the Salem area. We didn't get to meet Cynthia but Jay was very friendly and easy to communicate with regarding check-in/check-out. We would definitely stay with them again.

This was a great place to spend a night, with all the amenities a guest could need (including full-size oven, access to washer and drier, full size fridge-freezer). The location was quiet, while being within easy reach of Salem. Jay (and Lucy) were very welcoming as soon as I arrived. Thank you!

Such a nice studio, very peaceful and quiet. If you like to start your morning on the porch with coffee or tea and listening to the birds, this place is for you. Well equipped. Jay and Cynthia are wonderful hosts, and went above and beyond expectations to make my stay delightful.
