Close to city centre (20min on the bus) with bus stop at entrance to estate. The airport bus stops 10 min walk from the house (the journey from the airport takes 30 min). There's also a train station 15 minutes away that would take you to the Dublin city centre and to Kildare. Lucan area of Dublin.
There are quite a few annual events worth knowing about before you book your holiday. First, of course, there's St Patrick's Day, still by far the biggest entry in the Dublin calendar. It's now celebrated with plentiful pints of the black stuff the world over, but Dublin is the fun's epicentre. As long as you can cope with the crowds, the weather and the queues, there's no better place to enjoy it.
Calmer heads prevail in the summer at the excellent Dublin Writers Festival and the Bloomsday Festival: the latter celebrates the works of James Joyce, while the former pulls in some of the world's best writers. That sort of thing would bore the bejaysus out of most of the people packed into the stands for the Six Nations rugby tournament each spring, of course. But then, to each his own.

Sheila is a very friendly person. You will find a lovely house, a clean and cozy bedroom and a spacious and modern bathroom. Living at Sheila in Lucan is a excellent alternative for people studying in dublin if you consider the overpriced and manky apartments in city centre. The Bus to Trinity takes around 30 minutes (a little longer in rush hours). Lucan offers everything you need.
Sheila was fantastic. Very welcoming, homely house and lovely dog and cat. Perfect!
The stay at Sheila's was wonderful. She is hospitable, friendly, sociable and interesting to talk with.
At first we worried about the trip but she makes us feel free.
The bedroom was clean and cozy. The house is spacious and comfortable.
We enjoyed our trip and thanksful to Sheila very much.
Sheila's place was as advertised and better; it was a freezing cold night and the house was warm, as was the welcome. Overall, Sheila offers good value and staying there was a very pleasant and interesting experience.
Sheila is a fantastic host. She is friendly and warm and went out of her way to help us during our stay. Staying with her is like staying with your best friend, she makes you feel that comfortable. Her home is lovely and close to the city centre on a regular bus route. We would love to stay with Sheila next time we are in Dublin.
Excellent, quiet location just outside Dublin. The Clondalkin train station is about a 20min walk which takes you to the Dublin Heuston station. The bus station is just down the street as well as the grocery store! The room was big, clean and had closet space for your backpacks. Theres a huge kitchen and privacy if you want. The hot tub was a huge bonus to come home too after a good day of walking! Sheila was a great host also! A very warm and full spirited person. I would recommend this place to my friends!
