Close to city centre (20min on the bus) with bus stop at entrance to estate. The airport bus stops 10 min walk from the house (the journey from the airport takes 30 min). There's also a train station 15 minutes away that would take you to the Dublin city centre and to Kildare. Lucan area of Dublin.
There are quite a few annual events worth knowing about before you book your holiday. First, of course, there's St Patrick's Day, still by far the biggest entry in the Dublin calendar. It's now celebrated with plentiful pints of the black stuff the world over, but Dublin is the fun's epicentre. As long as you can cope with the crowds, the weather and the queues, there's no better place to enjoy it.
Calmer heads prevail in the summer at the excellent Dublin Writers Festival and the Bloomsday Festival: the latter celebrates the works of James Joyce, while the former pulls in some of the world's best writers. That sort of thing would bore the bejaysus out of most of the people packed into the stands for the Six Nations rugby tournament each spring, of course. But then, to each his own.
Guests have access to all amenities in the house.

Sheila was a wonderful host! She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable in her home! She provided everything we could possibly need! We enjoyed sipping coffee and tea with her. Our bedroom was lovely! Her house is in a pleasant neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. We would definitely recommend a stay there!
Great breakfast, great host, lovely room, nice shower, slept splendidly! Sheila was very welcoming offering all kinds of tourist information and got me to where I needed to go on time!
Sheila is a great host and a wonderful person. It's been my second stay at her place. The house is very cozy and nice. You feel at home there and don't want to leave.
Though the house lies pretty far from the city centre ( in terms of walking) it is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood.
I recommend you to stay at Sheila's place. It will surely make your trip special.
Sheila was a fantastic host!! She is incredibly helpful, full spirited and very kind person. The accommodations are comfortable and feel like a proper home. If ever I have the luck of returning to Ireland, I intend to check and see if Sheila has an open room first.
My experience was excellent, Sheila is a great person. The stay was almost 1 month, because I got into my apartment near College, however Sheila offered me to stay longer, but getting another where to stay. The room has all the amenities and utensils as clean (towels, hair dryer), you can make use of the kitchen (including spaces for storing food in the fridge and pantry). Your pets are trained, clean and friendly, very beautiful and playful. I highly recommend this house. Sheila is adorable, friendly, she make me feel like home, she also helped me practicing my English.
Sheila is a very friendly person. You will find a lovely house, a clean and cozy bedroom and a spacious and modern bathroom. Living at Sheila in Lucan is a excellent alternative for people studying in dublin if you consider the overpriced and manky apartments in city centre. The Bus to Trinity takes around 30 minutes (a little longer in rush hours). Lucan offers everything you need.
