Interaction with guests

I am available by phone 24-7, but stay off property when the house is rented. There is another separate dwelling on the property, which I have rented to the same couple for over 10 years.

Other things to note

You have a unique opportunity when considering Harbor Creek Lodge for your vacation rental.

That's because we have all of the space and amenities you'd need to host large family reunions, corporate retreats, and weekend getaways. But also because by choosing to rent this house, you will be giving back to the community by supporting the work of Urban Hands, a certified non-profit, providing meals & job training to the homeless and hungry in Puget Sound. For every night this beautiful home is booked, we will donate $50 to Urban Hands, which covers the cost of 25 meals!

For more information about this non-profit, please visit (URL HIDDEN)

We cannot host events on the property due to zoning issues. This includes weddings, memorials, fundraisers, etc.

Harbor Creek Lodge was a perfect place to hold a retreat. The grounds are tranquil and beautiful, secluded and picturesque. The space allowed for both small and large group activities, and fostered communal cooking and socializing among our guests. The long history of similar gatherings is evident in the pictures and messages on the walls and in the guest book, and like many other groups, we are eager to return. The space is cozy, bright, has all the necessities, and several unique rooms and features that make it fun and add to the sense of being in a special place. Jim's property manager was timely and informative throughout the process of booking, preparing for our stay, and after checking out. We're looking forward to another visit in the future, and highly recommend this home for reunions or retreats.

What a cool, crazy, awesome space! This place was perfect for a mini family reunion that included 10 adults and 8 young kids. There's so much to do and so much space that there was never really a reason to leave the property. Jim was very responsive and helpful and the whole weekend went really smoothly.

Working with Jim was great! The lodge is in a beautiful location and provided a great place for our team to get away from the distractions of the world and focus on their upcoming trip. There was lots of space for our team to spread out and the facilities were beautiful. I would highly recommend using this lodge!

I organized a reunion trip for a large group from the University of Puget Sound, and we could not have been happier with the Harbor Creek Lodge. Tons to do, nice and secluded, and everything you need to feed and house thirty people for a long weekend.

This was an amazing space for a weekend retreat. The location was an easy drive from Seattle but felt completely secluded and peaceful. The pond and woods are lovely. The house was incredible. Full of nooks and spaces--wonderfully accommodating. It was an adventure to explore, and it achieved the magic of being a relaxing space despite being full of people :) Jim was a fantastic host--the whole experience went exceedingly smoothly.

This was my second time being with a large group in this space. The first time as a participant, and this time as an event organizer. I LOVE this space and working with Jim. Great communication, clean and spacious property, multi-purpose spaces, and a short drive from Seattle. I will not hesitate to return with another group in the future!

I am 59 years old and own a large catering company in Seattle. I am very active in a number of ministries in Seattle, Young life and have a heart for kids and people. I often have large groups of college kids from the UW and UPS for small retreats of 50 people for the weekend. I am a non smoker and drinker and love to collect cars, Alaskan art work, have lived in Alaska, and enjoy the outdoors.

Why Gig Harbor:
I bought this incredible estate as a wedding venue and ended up enjoying it so much that I have lived there the past 14 years and commute to Seattle everyday for work. Everyday I wake up and realize how fortunate I am to have a property like this and to have shared it with thousands of college and high school kids over the years. I bought in Gig Harbor because it was within an hour of driving from Seattle.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The property is totally private and has a 4 block long driveway into the property and a wonderful small lake with fresh water that is great for wildlife and swimming. The estate has a 1/2 basketball court inside, outdoor hot tub, game room with foosball, pool table, table tennis, dance floor with disco ball and a full wet bar. Inside I also have my collection of 13 classic cars with couches, bistro tables and memorabilia. There is a full gourmet kitchen for cooking and entertaining off the large living and dining room.
