Situated on edge of town but central to all the beaches & sites. Castlerock, Downhill, Mussendun Temple to the west, Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Carrick A Rede rope bridge to the East.
With direct access to airports & cities Belfast & Derry.
This house is a converted mews building with thick old stone walls and tasteful contemporary decor.
I am an artist living on site and my original artworks decorate the house throughout.
Kitchen and incorporated living area.
Off road parking directly outside house.
Interaction with Guests
I usually meet guests on arrival. I am happy to provide lots of info on the area.
I live in the house but use the sitting room as my own space.
You have the kitchen and sofa to use as your own living area. With the Rayburn cooker on it is particularly cosy.
There will always be tea, coffee freely available at anytime and lots of marmalade & toast for breakfast.
The area is fantastic to access local beaches and site seeing on the North Coast. Amenities close to the house are excellent with coffee shops, supermarket, cinema, gym and hotel being just a minutes drive away as is a walk by the river or the forest.
The mews is quiet and picturesque.
The town has a railway station with trains to Derry or Belfast, every hour.
Local bus service with bus stop a minute from the house.
I would advise that you hire a car to explore the areas full potential.
Other Things to Note
There is some public transport along the north coast but it is advisable to hire a car.
Mussenden Temple 15 mins away
Giants Causeway 20 mins
Portrush 15 mins
1 hour by motorway to Belfast
and 35 mins to Derry.
Its worth noting that the train journey from Coleraine to Derry City hosts amazing views with the train traveling close to the waters edge and with views of Donegal in the distance.
Mea's place is really fantastic: cosy, warm and nice just as it is in the pictures. Mea was really friendly and a very good host: she is present and helpful but she gives the guest his time of privacy.
We stayed like at home!
Mea runs a warm, friendly household in a beautiful and quiet private area close to the River Bann nature trail. It's a great base for travel to the North Coast and indeed to points south. The room was exactly as described and is next door to a large and comfortable bath/shower room. Although I already knew the area, Mea's local knowledge will be a huge bonus to overseas travellers in need of some advice and guidance on where to go and how to get there. I'd would hesitate to book this accommodation again.
Our stay at mea's place was absolutely perfect. The house and the room was
amazing and really comfortable. Mea is a lovely host. We had a really great time there and we definitely recommend it.
We had a wonderful stay At mea place. Beautiful and confortable place. We strongly recommend her!
We really enjoyed our stay at Mea's home. Despite the cold weather, the house was so cosy... Mea is really a pleasant person with a lot of good advices. Finally we changed our plan for the following day and followed her recommendations.
Thank you very much for this nice moment.
It was an absolutely amazing stay at this place. The description pretty much matched the realty and I would say the realty has been even better than you might guess from the pictures. The place is absolutely quiet situated in a big, old farm house which is located a bit outside of Corelaine. Directly around the corner is a big retail park with a supermarket which has opened every day. The host it self was polite, communicative and respectful. The room was big enough for my girlfriend and myself and the bath for private around the corner of the room. Parking spaces are provided for free in front of the house and the house itself is just about 400 meter away from the main street, what you dont hear at all. Pricing was appropiate. Thanks for the lovely stay!
Mea was a wonderful host, she treated us as "old acquaintances" (quote my father), and offered us a very comfortable and lovely stay. I really just want to live there. The beds are very comfortable and the sheets are extremly nice.
Also she provided us with good advice for dinner and for nice places to go to (mussenden was amazing.)
I am a working artist finishing my fine art degree in June 2014.
I have lots of advice on places to go and see and best restaurants to eat in.
