The Space

This large 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment was completely renovated in 2011. Master Bedroom has private bath with steam room shower. Master Bath is better than any spa and has body sprays and a marble bench to sit on while the rainfall shower relaxes you. Second bedroom is perfect for two to three children. Full bunk under full twin. Mattresses are new in both bedrooms. Living Room/ Kitchen is modern and open with 12 foot high ceilings and cast iron columns reminding you of Tribeca's history.

Apartment is large but to minimize wear and tear I'm limiting to 5 people maximum.

Neighborhood is one of the City's best for restaurants with NOBU, Boulet, Mr. CHOW's, Tribeca Grill and countless other great restaurants steps from your door. Chinatown is also close by for the more adventurous for shopping or eating. Art galleries and SOHO shopping are five to ten minutes away by foot.

Walking distance to over 15 subway lines. Great waterfront park with 12 mile long bike path nearby as well.

  • We spent great holidays in NY, with my family, in April 2013. In a large part, we can be grateful to 'Mr Good Guy' and to his beautiful loft for this overall feeling.

Mr Good Guy. It was my first use of airbnb. When I found Mr Good Guy announcement, I immediately understood that I had reached what I was looking for. But the nickname of the owner and the picture that was not a portrait made me a little bit uncomfortable. I appreciate the direct presentation of the other owners and I personally accepted to 'play the game'. I have overpassed this first reserve and I am very happy: Mr Good Guy is a truly nice and welcoming host. He took a real pride in helping us preparing our trip in NY, was truly welcoming on our arrival and very open with our schedule constraints. As he says, NY is his home and he makes a priority that we love it too. He definitely succeeded in it and we can only thank him very much. So don't worry with the mysterious nickname!

The loft. It is located on the 3rd floor, with a large lift: easy to reach with the luggages. The loft itself is just perfect! The pictures don't lie! But they do not succeed in demonstrating the feeling of space that you get in every room, including the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The ceilings are really high. The cast iron columns and the darkened original wooden floor add a real "cachet" to the place. The kitchen + marble top bar are definitely a great place to spend time at breakfast or in the evening. This is important as you walk a lot in NY. And at the end of the day, you will certainly appreciate more than once to enjoy an evening at home. Mr Good Guy's loft is the best place for this, not to mention the daily at the corner of the block to get food at the last minute! (Just watch the sunday night: less food available at the deli). I have to mention the beds too, because they are the bigger we've ever seen - even the bunk bed in the kids room, and they are very comfortable.

The location. Leonard street is located at a walking distance of the Financial district, of Ground Zero, of the Brooklyn bridge and of DUMBO. Going uptown, you are in TRIBECA, SOHO and Chinatown. And for the shopping, Broadway is just at the corner! We used to take taxis to go further North and you get one in the minute when you leave home here! Buses are very convenient too. And we went back with the subway from time to time: easy too.

  • I travelled to New York with my sister and Mum and we had the most amazing time. From the moment I first contacted Mr Good Guy he was helpful, extremely efficient with communication and genuinely lived up to his name! He was waiting for us at his fabulous apartment when we arrived and made sure that we were happy with everything before he left. His apartment is in the most perfect location for restaurants, subways, shops and the neighbourhood has a generally lovely vibe. Our New York adventure was memorable in so many different ways and Mr Good Guy played a very big part in setting the scene. I would highly recommend Mr Good Guy's apartment for an authentic New York experience.

  • This gorgeous loft and overall experience exceeded our expectations in every way! The loft is essentially huge and has everything you would want for your stay. Tribeca is a special neighborhood, kind of quiet, so make sure you are fine about not being in the "middle" of everything, which was what we were looking for. We also wanted to be close to Brooklyn where many of our friends live. The loft space is huge, simply but well-furnished, air conditioned, quiet, and really felt like a home. The host met us and gave us a tour and general instructions, and left the fridge full of breakfast and snack food, which we felt was above and beyond. He is so attentive and considerate, and completely reachable for questions. We just returned home yesterday and I am already hoping we can return to NY and stay in the same place.
Couple things to know: essentially the most amazing master bath shower! It's like getting a massage and an additional 2 hours of sleep :)
The kitchen is "gourmet". I prepared a brunch for 10 people easily. Restaurants and shops are easily within walking distance. There are families in the building so please be respectful regarding the noise level, especially at night. Thanks Mr. Good Guy! We had a phenomenal time and we hope we can come back again! • Great apartment in the heart of TriBeCa just south of SOHO ( Greene St and Mercer shops to die for. Great for lower Manhattan trips with easy acces via underground to uptown. Plenty of good eats within walking distance. Our Host left great instructions, a welcome pack of food and was very responsive. Apartment bigger than it looks with awesome shower/wet room, full size kitchen and 2 massive plasma TVs. Looking forward to our return visit.M

  • The apartment was in a great location in Tribeca. The host was excellent in his communication, very fast. We were met on time, no problems getting in. The fridge was stocked with fruit, milk and muffins for our brekkie. Wholefoods was a short walk away. Everything was in the apartment that we needed. Wi fi excellent for sussing out our next movements and pre booking tickets. Figured out the printer too so was able to print the tickets and check in for our return flights. Try Bubbys for the most yummy breakfast but go early otherwise the queue is too long. Overall very comfy for us and our 9 year old son (who enjoyed sitting on the top bunk watching nick jr on cable tv).

  • My stay at Mr Good Guy's place was a wonderful experience. He is A++++ host and was in touch over our stay to make sure our stay was pleasant and we had what we needed. His place is awesome and spacious enough for my group of 5. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in, better than any hotel I have stayed in. He was very accomodating and had someone meet us at 9pm for our check in and even stocked the fridge with fruits, eggs, bread and beer to welcome us. His place is in a great location and close to some very good restaurants, shopping and train stations. His place is as pictured and has all the comforts of a hotel and more, aircon was fantastic, bathrooms were great, tv on demand and a fuseball table which we had alot of fun with! He was very easy to deal with and very helpful in the initial stages of our booking and i would recommend his place to anyone travelling to NY! Thank you and I will definitely be in contact next time I am in NY city!

  • Host was very responsive and helpful with arrangements. The place itself was as described, maybe a little better than the photos. Overall a solid choice if you want easy access to SOHO and more space than a boutique hotel room.
