Interaction with Guests
I realize my guests don't come to San Francisco to meet me. I generally stay out of guests way but am available to answer any questions or assist in any way I can to make their stay more enjoyable.
* No smoking indoors ..... if you don't mind - you can smoke on the deck :)
* This is a residential neighborhood so no parties &/ loud music please
* When you go up & down the stairs, there are people who live on either side...,so,
if you arrive late, PLEASE be quiet & mindful when opening/closing the gate.
* The (email hidden)ease be careful to both shut & latch the gate each time you go in or
out otherwise, the wind will catch it and break it off its hinges.
* We try really hard to recycle as much as possible.
Since California is experiencing its fourth year of drought , water restrictions have been imposed; in view of this please be mindful of water consumtion - thanks
-If excessive cleaning is necessary, an extra $75.00 cleaning fee will be applied.
Mia and Sal were accommodating, friendly, but also let my boyfriend and I enjoy a private experience. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming note which explained all the neat quirks and intricacies of the apartment. The view from the deck was amazing, especially at night. Twin Peaks is a very residential neighborhood (on, you guessed it, peaks). It is very hilly, but this is part of the charm of SF. I enjoyed how close the apartment was to the Haight and Castro through public transportation. When we wanted to be in the action we could, but when we wanted to retreat to the apartment the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet! Also, we drove to SF and were a little worried about the parking situation- I can assure you, not an issue at all! We would definitely stay there again.
We just got back from a four day stay at Mia's place and it was exactly as described. A great studio with an awesome view of the city. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. The deck in the back was a great place to sit and relax. We also really appreciated the snacks that were left for us when we arrived (beer, ice cream and bagels). The studio is located in a great spot within walking distance to the mission, castro and haight and ashbery as well as metro stops to easily get to downtown. Also, there are two buses that stop at the corner which can get you everywhere around the city. We briefly met Mia and appreciate her hospitality. I would highly recommend Mia's studio if you are staying in San Francisco.
We just got back from a five night stay at the doghouse and we had an amazing time there. Mia was a great host and incredibly welcoming. The apartment was exactly as it was described - very comfortable and cozy. The backyard was fantastic and we spent a lot of time enjoying the creatively designed space. I started every day meditating on the deck and it was the perfect spot to relax.
It was really well located within walking distance to the Castro and Mission. Lots of hills obviously but that's part of the fun!
Mia's apartment was just as expected. It's in a quiet location but the bus stop is very close, with an easy connection to Castro and then downtown via the metro.
The apartment was quite clean with a great terrace with an amazing view of the city. She kindly left drinks and bagels for our arrival and the cupboards were well stocked with basics. All in all we had an enjoyable stay! Mandy and Gemma, Barcelona
Mia and Sal were great hosts. They really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed to feel at home. The studio itself is really comfortable, full of character and has fantastic views over San Francisco. I'd definitely stay here again.
Romain was awesome. The doghouse is one of the best spots in The Castro for 1,2 or 3 with a gorgeous backyard zen garden that I utilized daily. I'll definitely be back
The studio was beautiful; exactly as described in the listing. Mia was very responsive from the moment we requested it. There were specific instructions all over, which made it so we didn't have to bother Mia. The fridge was stocked with some treats which was great after a long day of travel. The neighborhood is quiet and has some nice views of the city.
