Very cute and comfortable one bedroom apartment across from the Marina. Quiet neighborhood, two blocks from restaurants and 2 miles from downtown Tampa and convention center. Allie is a great host -- clear communication and easy in and out.
The rental was very sunny and has a lovely view of the harbor. Also, the neighbors were helpful and friendly. Allie was helpful and quick to respond to calls and emails with questions and flexible about making changes in the itinerary. I'm not sure I would recommend the rental to people with allergies because at night there is a strong odor of a manufacturing plant or maybe from the boats, I'm not sure. Also, there was animal hair around, not bad, but some. For those who like animals and don't mind the smells at night, I would recommend it. It was also very convenient to the Tampa Convention Center and just what I needed for attending a function there. Also, there's a block long "business district" on Davis Island that has places to eat and shop and a 24/7 service station and convenience store.
Beautiful location in a neighborhood of multimillion dollar homes, with just a few small apartment buildings, like this one, scattered around. Apartment is somewhat basic, but immaculately clean.
Close to Tampa General Hospital, a 30 minute walk to convention center.
Davis Islands Village with a selection of nice restaurants in various price ranges and no tourists is just a 5 minute walk away. A convenience store, but you have to drive to get to a real supermarket if you need it.
Awesome local with parking right across from the Marina. Being on Davis Islands was the best decision I made; it was great for walking and running in the mornings, and it was a nice quiet neighborhood.
The apartment itself was nice and clean, and she provides everything you would need for a long term stay, and is around to help if you have any questions or concerns.
I would stay here again if I was in Tampa.
We really enjoyed our stay on Davis Island. The apartment is clean and fully equipped and is in a very nice location. There are a variety of nice restaurants on Davis Island and it is only about a 20min walk to downtown. Our host Allie was also very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to others!
We had a wonderful time at Allie's Davis Islands rental. Davis Islands is a great hideaway neighborhood in Tampa that was perfect for exploring the Tampa Bay Area. There are several good restaurants on the island for breakfast lunch and dinner and all of Tampa is just over the bridge. Also Steinbrenner Stadium is only a short drive if you are in Tampa for Yankees Spring Training.
The rental overlooks a small marina and has plenty of bikers, runners and dog walkers going by all day long. The neighborhood and neighbors were quiet and friendly. The rental was simply furnished and extra clean the day we arrived. And Allie was a super host and very responsive in helping us with the wifi and answered questions by email or text within minutes. If we go back to Tampa we would contact Allie again
