About This Listing
Come and stay in my amazing apartment in the center of Trastevere, the heart of Rome. You'll have a taste of the authentic Rome lifestyle with its nightlife and its restaurants au dehors.
We also provide a transfer service from and to the airport.
A unique apartment with a view on one of the most famous streets of Trastevere, via della Lungaretta. The apartment is furnished in a 70's bohemian style with some unique pieces like the trumpet-lamp! As a singer I wanted to make this flat a perfect nest for those who love music like I do! Take a look at the pictures in order to have a taste!
The flat is located on the 4th floor of a 1800 old building with no elevator. So I would suggets you to bring with you only small bags and suitcases.
Fully equiped kitchen with washing machine, WIFI, 42 inches Tv with DVD, an original working grammophone, a large stylish bedroom, a nice living room and a toilet. Air conditioning and heating. We provide clean linen and sheets. Upon request we offer transfer service from and to the airport.
Nearby the apartment there are also many Supermarkets and food stores so you can buy fresh food and all the products you may need.
Interaction with Guests
We are very happy to get to know our guests and spend some time together! We live nearby so it happens sometimes to meet in one of the beautiful bars and restaurants of the area and have a coffee together.
Trastevere is the 13th rione of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin Trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber". Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants, but much of the original character of Trastevere remains. The area is also home to several foreign academic institutions including The American University of Rome and John Cabot University (both of which are private American universities), the American Academy in Rome, the Rome campus of the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the Canadian University of Waterloo School of Architecture (between the months of September and December), and the American Pratt Institute School of Architecture therefore serving as home to an international student body.
The line 8 of the tram will take you to Piazza Venezia in two minutes! Or you can walk to Fori Imperiali in 15 minutes. The Vatican is at easy reach with the bus 23 or walking. Trastevere is also very close to Gianicolo (amazing view on the center of Rome) and Villa Panphili, the biggest park in Rome.
Other Things to Note
Please note that there's no elevator. The apartement is about 35 mq and it's located at the 3rd floor of a 1800 building. We provide clean linen and sheets.
We just ask respect for neighbors and for the house. There's a charge for late check-ins (after 22:00) of 30 euros that includes transfer service from the airport to the apartment.
A fantastic flat in a perfect location. Trastevere is a great place for bars and restaurants, at a more reasonable rate than the more common tourist hotspots. We were able to walk to all of the main sights within 30 minutes.
The apartment may not suit you if you plan on staying in much, as the space is not the largest, but as a base to explore Rome it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.
We had a good two-night stay in Giovanna's apartment. We unfortunately didn't meet Giovanna herself, but her friend was there to check us in and was very helpful. It's in a great location within Trastevere - really close to lots of bars/restaurants, and less than a 5-minute walk from a bus stop that connects with Termini. Apartment looks as advertised (although perhaps a bit smaller than in photos) and was pretty clean and had a great collection of decor! Wifi works well. Full kitchen and a washing machine, as well. There is some noise from the street below at night, but not an issue with the fan/AC going and definitely worth being located so centrally within the neighbourhood! Only negative thing about our stay was that we were only provided with two bath towels and no other linens (i.e. no hand towels, floor towel for the shower, etc). Not a big issue at all, just a small inconvenience.
We really enjoyed our stay at Giovanna's apartment. Giovanna and Simone were really friendly and welcoming. Simone was fantastic and picked us up from the airport and showed us the apartment.
They were always available if we had any issues or questions. The apartment is right in the centre of the Trastevere and all of the restaurants and night life, and we really enjoyed being amongst the activities. While it was slightly noisy on a couple of evenings over the 2 weeks this was not a problem to us and only to be expected when you are so close to everything in the Trastevere. We would recommend anyone to stay at this apartment if they really wanted to have a unique experience in this part of Rome.
The neighborhood was excellent. There was tons to do/walk to every night and it was the middle of the week. Excellent restaurants, bars, and sightseeing were within walking distance. Giovanna and her fiancé picked us up from the airport for 30 euros and brought us to the apartment, which was very convenient. We took a taxi back to the airport which cost about 50 euros. The apartment was clean but relatively small in comparison to the pictures. My boyfriend is 6'4 and had to duck under the doorways and barely fit in the shower. Otherwise, the apartment was good for a short stay.
The apartment was a perfect for us! The flat is in the heart of a very beautiful Trastevere and there are a lot of good restaurants and little boutiques near by it. Giovanna and her friend were very helpful and everything was very clean in the flat! The kitchen was also very good for us who love cooking.
Because the apartment is in the very centre of Trastevere, the atmosphere can be a bit noisy but that's what you have to deal with if you wanna live in the middle of everything. We slept well though there were some noice in the evenings.
Incredible first time in Roma ! Such an amazing city !
Coming from Paris I must say we are used to beatiful things but still, Roma was a complete love at first sight.
We will go back for sure !
We had a great stay in Giovanna's apartment, it felt homely and was in an amazing location.
It is the perfect place to enjoy Rome; you can easily get anywhere in the city by walking, and the lovely bars and restaurants in Trastevere are just on the doorstep
We arranged for the airport transfer and Simone was really helpful and accommodating despite all the delays/issues caused by the fire at Fiumicino airport.
Would definitely recommend.
