About this listing
Come and stay in my amazing apartment in the center of Trastevere, the heart of Rome. You'll have a taste of the authentic Rome lifestyle with its nightlife and its restaurants au dehors.
We also provide a transfer service from and to the airport.
A unique apartment with a view on one of the most famous streets of Trastevere, via della Lungaretta. The apartment is furnished in a 70's bohemian style with some unique pieces like the trumpet-lamp! As a singer I wanted to make this flat a perfect nest for those who love music like I do! Take a look at the pictures in order to have a taste!
The flat is located on the 4th floor of a 1800 old building with no elevator. So I would suggets you to bring with you only small bags and suitcases.
Fully equiped kitchen with washing machine, WIFI, 42 inches Tv with DVD, an original working grammophone, a large stylish bedroom, a nice living room and a toilet. Air conditioning and heating. We provide clean linen and sheets. Upon request we offer transfer service from and to the airport.
Nearby the apartment there are also many Supermarkets and food stores so you can buy fresh food and all the products you may need.
Interaction with Guests
We are very happy to get to know our guests and spend some time together! We live nearby so it happens sometimes to meet in one of the beautiful bars and restaurants of the area and have a coffee together.
Trastevere is the 13th rione of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin Trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber". Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants, but much of the original character of Trastevere remains. The area is also home to several foreign academic institutions including The American University of Rome and John Cabot University (both of which are private American universities), the American Academy in Rome, the Rome campus of the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the Canadian University of Waterloo School of Architecture (between the months of September and December), and the American Pratt Institute School of Architecture therefore serving as home to an international student body.
The line 8 of the tram will take you to Piazza Venezia in two minutes! Or you can walk to Fori Imperiali in 15 minutes. The Vatican is at easy reach with the bus 23 or walking. Trastevere is also very close to Gianicolo (amazing view on the center of Rome) and Villa Panphili, the biggest park in Rome.
Other Things to Note
Please note that there's no elevator. The apartement is about 35 mq and it's located at the 3rd floor of a 1800 building. We provide clean linen and sheets.
We just ask respect for neighbors and for the house. There's a charge for late check-ins (after 22:00) of 30 euros that includes transfer service from the airport to the apartment.
A lovely apartment, looks as shown in the pictures which was fantastic and we also were picked up from the airport which made life very easy :) I would highly recommend this place and the location is perfect, within walking distance of all the sites in Rome!
The apartment was cute, friendly and comfortable and Giovanna and Simone picked us up, showed us around and were very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is well located, in a vibrant, Central part of town, where there are restaurants, cafes, bars, markets and people enjoying their evenings strolling its streets.
Great location in the Trastevere heart; the apartment was clean and cute :)
This is THE BEST apartment in Rome! Anyone who is lucky enough to stay in this marvelous, charming, adorable and love-filled apartment is going to have a fabulous time. The location could not be better, and you couldn't ask for a lovelier or more generous host!
Location was stellar and not overwhelmingly touristy, Giovanna was helpful and welcoming, the air con (while confined to the bedroom) was ever so necessary considering the summer heat. I'd highly reccommend it
The apartment was very cute and quirky and the location was brilliant - wish we had more time to explore!!! There's a really great vibe on the street and we really enjoyed wandering about watching buskers and street entertainers and strolling along the river - it was a fun was to spend our only night here. Were we greeted by Giovanna's fiance who was really lovely and made us feel very welcome. The only thing is the air conditioning was very loud and the shower was quite small, but a lovely place to stay anyway!
A fantastic flat in a perfect location. Trastevere is a great place for bars and restaurants, at a more reasonable rate than the more common tourist hotspots. We were able to walk to all of the main sights within 30 minutes.
The apartment may not suit you if you plan on staying in much, as the space is not the largest, but as a base to explore Rome it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend.
About the Host, Giovanna
Hi I'm italian singer/songwriter. I perform with my boyfriend and together we run three apartments in the city center. I decided to give a taste of 70's music to my flat as you can see fro m the pictures since 70's music is my favorite! So you'll find a huge picture of Pink Floyd's The Wall album cover on the wall of my living room together with other nice memorabilia. So I'm ready and willing to make my guests feel welcome and confortable in my city center bohemian apartment! See ya.
I'm enjoying my experience on airB&B.
