About this listing
Come and stay in my amazing apartment in the heart of Trastevere. You'll have a taste of the authentic Roman lifestyle with its nightlife and its restaurants au dehors.
We also provide a transfer service from and to the airport.
A unique apartment with a view on one of the most famous streets of Trastevere, via della Lungaretta. The apartment is furnished in a 70's bohemian style with some unique pieces like the trumpet-lamp! As a singer I wanted to make this flat a perfect nest for those who love music like I do! Take a look at the pictures in order to have a taste!
The flat is located on the 3rd floor of a 1800 old building with no elevator. So I suggest you to bring small bags and light suitcases.
Fully equiped kitchen with washing machine, WIFI, 42 inches Tv with DVD, an original working grammophone, a large stylish bedroom, a nice living room and a toilet. Air conditioning and heating. We provide clean linen and sheets. Upon request we offer transfer service from and to the airport.
Nearby the apartment there are also many Supermarkets and food stores so you can buy fresh food and all the products you may need.
Interaction with Guests
We are very happy to get to know our guests and spend some time together! We live nearby so it happens sometimes to meet in one of the beautiful bars and restaurants of the area and have a coffee together.
Trastevere is the 13th rione of Rome, on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City. Its name comes from the Latin Trans Tiberim, meaning literally "beyond the Tiber". Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by medieval houses. At night, natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants, but much of the original character of Trastevere remains. The area is also home to several foreign academic institutions including The American University of Rome and John Cabot University (both of which are private American universities), the American Academy in Rome, the Rome campus of the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, the Canadian University of Waterloo School of Architecture (between the months of September and December), and the American Pratt Institute School of Architecture therefore serving as home to an international student body.
The line 8 of the tram will take you to Piazza Venezia in two minutes! Or you can walk to Fori Imperiali in 15 minutes. The Vatican is at easy reach with the bus 23 or walking. Trastevere is also very close to Gianicolo (amazing view on the center of Rome) and Villa Panphili, the biggest park in Rome.
Other Things to Note
Please note that there's no elevator. The apartement is about 35 mq and it's located at the 3rd floor of a 1800 building. We provide clean linen and sheets.
We just ask respect for neighbors and for the house. There's a charge for late check-ins (after 22:00) of 30 euros that includes transfer service from the airport to the apartment.
Giovanna's apartment is in a great location in the heart of Trastevere. Her apartment is surrounded by many restaurants and vivid nightlife. We couldn't ask for a better location! The apartment is very cute and a great size for us as a couple visiting Rome. Giovanna and her fiancé picked us up from the airport and we are very grateful for the service. Made our arrival in Rome very easy and removed all the potential for stress. They were both extremely nice and helpful-- pointing out good restaurants and how to get around with transportation. We've booked with them on our return trip and can't wait to get back to Rome and the great apartment!
Great apartment with lovely hosts. Great location with everything within easy walking distance. Giovanna and her fiancée Simone were more than helpful during our stay in Rome.
Giovanna was a very gracious host who made sure days in advance that we knew where we were going. We got lost in Rome so she sent her boyfriend to meet us and escort us to the apartment.
We had everything we needed there. The neighborhood was spectacular! All sorts of restaurants, bakeries, etc. I will rent from her again when I return.
The location on this place is amazing!!! Simple apartment in the city center. It has everything you need for one or two people. The host was delightful and very helpful for our stay - including picking us up from the airport and allowing us to keep our bags an extra hour at the flat while we were on tour of the Vatican. The apartment overlooks a square in Trastevere that comes alive at night with vendors and restaurants. The flat included an AC which was sufficient to cool the bedroom. Kitchen was clean and useful - also had a washer (which we didnt use, but was nice). Bathroom was a bit tiny if you are a tall person you might have issues with the shower (but we found them to be small all over Italy). We will stay again for sure!
Perfectly located property, exactly as described in the ad. Giovanna was an extremely responsive host and even arranged for her fiancé, Simone, to pick us up and drop us off at the airport. Simone was timely, courteous, engaging, and very helpful. The apartment was perfect for our needs and in the heart of Trastevere, one of the best neighborhoods in Roma for staying, exploring, and dining. Bedroom has an air conditioner which is essential in the Roman summer heat. Great value for the apartment and would highly recommend for a couple looking for a place to lay there head while exploring the eternal city.
We had a great time in this lovely apartment. The location of the apartment is amazing. Trastevere is a great neighborhood to stay in while visiting Rome. It is an easy walk to get to the main sites in Rome. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The apartment is well equipped with Wifi, a small kitchen, washing machine. All of this in a nice decor! The air conditioning in the bedroom was essential due to the summer heat even if it did not
cool all of the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment to everyone.
Un bon séjour dans un quartier très animé et bien placé dans Rome. Giovanna est très réactive sur le site pour répondre à nos questions et ponctuelle pour les check in/out, son fiancé nous raccompagnant même jusqu'à l'aéroport!
About the Host, Giovanna
Hi I'm italian singer/songwriter. I perform with my boyfriend and together we run three apartments in the city center. I decided to give a taste of 70's music to my flat as you can see fro m the pictures since 70's music is my favorite! So you'll find a huge picture of Pink Floyd's The Wall album cover on the wall of my living room together with other nice memorabilia. So I'm ready and willing to make my guests feel welcome and confortable in my city center bohemian apartment! See ya.
I'm enjoying my experience on airB&B.
