Nature surrounds our light-filled cabin in the woods with a babbling creek. Watch sunrises, sunsets & wildlife from the deck or the 2-story, floor-to-ceiling widows. Play games or watch movies warmed by a large, clean-burning fireplace (wood provided), sipping hot cocoa/coffee/tea.

The space
Come have this wonderful, wooded 5 acre property, that includes a path through majestic oaks, pines, and gorgeous red manzanita to massive granite boulders where our year-round creak cuts through the rock creating a wonderful sound that can be heard form the house and a swimming hole.

The 3 bedroom, 3 bath house is secluded, surrounded by nature and wildlife. It has an open living space, with high ceilings up to the second floor, and large floor-to-ceiling windows the bring in abundant light. Look out at the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets or watch the wildlife, including frequent deer families who visit our property. You can also enjoy nature's beauty from the large, wrap around deck, that looks out at the forested hills and is also a great place to see the stars when the moonlight allows as there is no light pollution in the neighborhood.

1st and 2nd bedroom, each with either a king or 2 twins. 3rd bedroom with a twin bunk bed. Full size sleeper sofa in the living room and 3 twin air mattresses also available.

Fully-stocked kitchen: Microwave, coffee maker, coffee, variety of teas, hot chocolate, sweetners, oils, salt, pepper, various spices and condiments, various breakfast fixings (maple syrup, oatmeal, pancake mix, etc.) and more...

Propane BBQ, large deck and outdoor seating for dining, sunset watching and star gazing, some workout equipment, outdoor games in garage. Games, puzzles, books (for adults and kids), 46" TV, DVDs, and Netflix. Internet speed is 18 Mbps down / 5 Mbps up.

Unfortunately, we have a strict NO PET policy. We will allow service dogs (this does not include emotional support animals and we require proof of certification) with pre-approval.

Review from a recent guest: "The reviews of Veronica's place were spot on: this house is an amazing value, offers more amenities than we've encountered on other trips, and is located in such an amazing setting that was perfect for us to wind down and enjoy time together. We weren't able to score passes to Yosemite due to the limited entry related to Covid-19, but it didn't matter since Veronica had information for lots of great local hikes and activities. We especially had a blast exploring the creek behind the house and hiking down to the larger waterfalls in the neighborhood. We were comfortable inside the house during the day and evenings, the fans and breezes from outside kept it at a just right temperature. This was an amazing airbnb experience for our family!"

Lovely Cascadel Woods gets its name from the numerous streams that create an abundance of swimming holes as they cut through the magnificent granite and gorgeous waterfalls.

Just 10 minutes from the quaint town of North Fork (general store, organic shop with smoothies and juice bar, gas, pizza, coffee shop (with breakfast and lunch), Mexican restaurant, and the Buckhorn Restaurant & Lounge); 30 minutes from Oakhurst (numerous restaurants, movie theatre, shops (Safeway, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Dollar Store, Souvenir Stores, etc.), and services).

Surrounded by beautiful national forest with plenty of nature to explore without leaving the immediate area, numerous rivers and lakes and access to 3 amazing National Parks - Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon.

I live and work in Oakland. I love Oakland as far as Cities go, but my true love is the mountains. I was lucky enough to find a beautiful secluded property in the Sierras south of Yosemite and near Bass Lake for my mom, myself and my step dad to be able to spend more time in the mountains. We have spent almost every weekend for 8 months stripping it down and making it something special. We hope that you will get the opportunity to enjoy the house, beautiful property and amazing surrounding nature as much as we do!
