Quel accueil ! L'appartement est splendide et l'hôte vous accueille avec une multitude de petites attentions !
Exceeded our expectations all around. Perfect location for everything in Florence, perfectly appointed apartment and personalized service to match. Would not hesitate to recommend. This apartment and the way it is run should set the standard for all holiday accommodation experiences.
The apartment is just as beautiful as the pictures....The location is perfect it is literally in the middle of everything and anything you would need or want to go....If I ever need to stay in Florence again I would definitely check to see if Mario's apartment is available because it was perfect....Mario was very helpful...he left us recommendations of places to stay...In the kitchen he left us food and wine....I mean you could not ask for anything more....Paolo greeted us when we first arrived and he made us feel right at home...He showed us around the apartment and made sure we knew where everything was and how to use everything....They even had converters for us to use...I mean anything you can think of they supplied it....Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your place and for making our trip to Italy that much better
This was an amazing apartment right in the center of Florence. It was easy to walk everywhere and Mario and Paolo made sure that we had everything we needed to have a great trip. We will definitely be staying here again.
This apartment is just the most perfect place to stay in Florence. It's comfortable, very clean and delightfully furnished. Mario and Paolo have thought of their guests every need, and are always available if you need help. Their restaurant recommendations are excellent, there is tons to do in Florence and we would highly recommend a trip to Siena. I understand the family have other places to rent in Italy and we would love to visit and we would most certainly love to stay in the apartment again. Thank you both for making our holiday so enjoyable.
The pictures do not do this apartment any justice; the tall ceilings and light really make the space feel open and spacious. The decor is an eclectic blend of modern and traditional. This was tastefully planned, not thrown together in haste. The view from the window is like a picture postcard (it's now my screen saver).
The location is on a quiet street only a few blocks from Mercato Central/San Lorenzo. Very close to Il Duomo, the Accademia and Palazzo Medici Riccardi. The walk from Santa Maria Novella Station is about 10 minutes, close to transportation and perfect if you want to day trip to other Tuscan towns and fashion outlets. Close to the sights but not trapped in the middle of the most congested/noisy streets; an excellent balance.
Mario and family were extremely generous and gracious hosts, very attentive and helpful, with superb choices on restaurants and activities. He was also extremely thoughtful by stocking the pantry and fridge with complimentary pasta, sauce, olives, olive oil, water, wine and jam.
Our favorite places to eat were: La Giostra, Trattoria Tiberio, Carabe (gelato) and Mercato Central, all recommended by Mario.
Must see: Santa Croce, Boboli Gardens, the Bargello, the Accademia, the Palazzo Medici Riccardi.
Unexpected Gem: the food, arts and furnishings exposition that we stumbled upon in the Fortezza da Basso.
This was a memorable vacation and having a place that really felt like a home was truly special. No hotel can give you this type of experience and we can't wait to come back to stay with our new friends.
