Comfortable and relaxing home from home. Very near central London - you can walk in 30 minutes to the Houses of Parliament or 10 minutes on the bus. 5 minutes from the London underground and the buses run all night almost to the door.
My home is warm and welcoming and it will be your home from home as everyone who comes here is always invited to relax and enjoy the space. It's newly decorated and is totally self contained and secure. The double room sleeps two people comfortably. In the room there is a radio and remote controlled tv with free view. It's a quiet room and overlooks the gardens below.
There is a kitchen for guests to eat breakfast which I provide, ie bread for toasting, jam, marmalade and milk for tea and coffee. The kitchen overlooks really nice gardens.
I provide towels and a hair dryer so you can travel lighter! There is a European electric plug and there are also umbrellas for you to borrow!
There are 2 WC's and 1 bathroom with shower and bathroom which is shared.
There are attractive bars and restaurants in the immediate area and typical London pubs. You can take the local buses if you like to anywhere but if you wanted to walk, it's a pleasant 25-30 minutes to the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Tate Britain etc. I am more than happy to help with any directions, guides or advice on where to go and what to do so you get the best out of your time here.
Although the check in and check out times are flexible they must be reasonable. Can everyone please let me know when you are arriving and departing as soon as you can as on rare occasions people may arrive on the same day that you are departing and so check in and check out times will vary. Don't worry, you will not be asked to check out before lunchtime and if no one is arriving that day you don't have to dash and you can leave your bags until you are ready to travel later in the day.
I look forward to making your stay a comfortable and enjoyable one while you're in London!
Your own room (which has tv/dvd, heater, desk and chair and WIFI)
Kitchen. which is communal at breakfast time but you can also use it for making tea and coffee during the day and to sit in as it's a really nice space.
Bathroom which is shared.
Interaction with Guests
There is usually someone around to help you but you will always have phone contact if you need anything.
Diverse, close to centre, nice parks, quiet tree lined street, good cafés and local pubs,
Local buses run all night to and from the centre of London.
Other Things to Note
The heating comes on automatically in the morning and also in the evening. For the time in between, if you need it, there is a heater in your room.
Please turn appliances and lights off when you go out.
At night turn off heaters in room for safety reasons.
Please take off your shoes at the front door.
If you need more towels or bedding please ask.
Please don't shower too late at night (I suggest 8.30pm) as the noise can disturb others.
Last rule: Enjoy your time in London :-)
We spent a wonderful week at Lynn's and had a great time in London! Sadly, Lynn was on holiday during our stay, so we didn't get the chance to meet her, but Sandy was a wonderful host and took care of us. The house was clean, our room was very cozy, and we felt very much at home :-) The location is great, as we were able to walk every day to central London (plus there are good bus and tube connections as well). Next time we're coming to London, we'll definitely want to stay there again!
Thanks, Lynn and Sandy, for a great holiday in London!

Lynn and Sandy were great hosts! Lynn was very responsive since she was out of town and Sandy is very nice and helpful. My sister and I really enjoyed staying in the flat and would love to do so again next time we are in London.
The location is great and public transportation is very close. The amenities provided (toast, jam, coffee/tea for breakfast, cable, comfy bed, and WiFi) exceeded my expectations. Thank you!
We have a wonderful day when we stay in Lynn's lovely house.
The kitchen is very clean and have space for us can cook and chat at here. The room is very well and also have nice garden scene with two cute fox. Sandy and Lynn are very kindness and passionate, they recommend lot of beautiful UK for us.
If we have time to come to UK again, we will choose Lynn house for our first choice.
We arrived late at night and was greeted by Sandy who had waited up for us Lynn was out of town for our visit. Sandy was lovely and gave us information on London and local transport. The neighbourhood was safe and the house in walking distance to the city and transport. Toast and jam was supplied for breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean with wardrobe space overlooking a cute garden. It was very homely and nice to come back to a warm house after being in the cold. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to stay close to London. Thank you for your lovely hospitality Sandy.
Very cozy and very friendly hosts, it's my first time to stay in local British house which is super cool. Although voices easily pass through walls so need to be quiet in the room. Thank you Lynn and Sandy for your kindness. If you are into musical ad plays you can chat with sweet Sandy, she gives good advices. The location is good to travel through metro and bus. This room is highily recommended, surely would like to stay again next time in London.
Thank you Lynn and Sandy for having us to stay. You are both lovely people that made us feel so welcome and we really enjoyed our time. Location is great, 5-10 min walk to the Stockwell tube station, so easy to get into the city, always felt safe around the area and looked forward to coming home to a warm room at the end of a day.

I like reading, walking, travelling, singing and playing guitar, interesting conversation, cinema and art. I love meeting new people so Airbnb is really good for me and I always get a buzz from people who arrive here as I still love London after all this time and I really like sharing experiences of where they can go, depending on what they like of course!
I've travelled through the Middle East, South America, Thailand, Spain and love having guests who want to get the best out of London - especially if it's their first time here.
I can speak a little Arabic, Spanish and French.
My motto in life - all you need is love :-)
