Perfect location and the view was tremendous. Just wish the floorplan was more open so everyone could enjoy the view. Be advised that there are 74 steps to get up to the apartment.

Excellent location, good for access to the sights, good for restaurants. Apartment limited for food preparation and eating, as there is no dining table.

Elizabeth was a kind host, and has a lovely apartment that is both perfectly situated and simultaneously fairly quiet. The apartment is large, with great views of the Arno from the master bedroom and bathroom. It should be noted that while there is a washing machine in the bathroom, just as in most of Italy, be prepared to go shopping for washing machine detergent and other consumables. All in all a great stay, and we will definitely be back!

We had a very nice welcome by the husband of Elisabeth. The location of the flat is great and next to all sightseeing of Florence, 1 min of Ponte Vecchio! The Flat is large, with the charm of old stones. The view on Arno and Ponte Vecchio is Amazing, especially in evening! But the flat would need a renovation to be perfect (furnitures and grounds...). Though, we had a excellent stay in Florence ;) !

If you are looking to stay in the best area for exploring this is the place! Close to all the shopping, museums and lovely piazzas. The view from the windows of the river and historic Ponche Vecchio were amazing!! There was lots of space and very old world feeling when staying here. It really made you feel like you were staying in Italy not some cut and dry hotel.

On the positive side, apartment's location is great and this is why many choose this listing. All the city's attractions can be easily reached, many restaurants and bars are right next to you, as well as parking garages. A supermarket is just few steps away, which is very convenient. The views from one of the bedrooms are fantastic - you can watch a sunset across the river right out of your window. Overall apartment itself has a great potential. Elizabeth was very friendly, polite and quick to respond, even though we have not met her in person. Her husband, who welcomed us, was very nice. On the negative side, unfortunately photos provided in the listing are not at all accurate, they must have been taken years ago when the apartment was newly renovated. At the moment apartment is furnished with random leftover items, most of which are old or broken. Occasional nice antique pieces do not change the overall appearance, unfortunately. The white sofa on the photos, the only seating area in the apartment, is all dirty, stained and unusable, since the second you sit on it, all pillows slide off. The bedroom with a nicest view of the river has a very stuffy old smell and we were not able to use it - had to move to another room. Also this bedroom features a "secret" hole in the wall (literally) for a person to crawl in, on the floor level, adjacent to host's apartment. The hole is being actively used by owners therefore allowing them to walk in at any time. It is located behind a flimsy door that can be locked on owner's side. When we moved in, the door was open and since it had no handle on apartment's side, I was not able to fully close it, and the draft kept opening it, so with this hole being right there, the whole thing made me feel very uneasy and even creeped out. The bed sheets and pillows did not seem fresh and two out of four bath towels, very random by size and shape, smelled unclean. Carpets throughout the apartment are all stained and warn out, bath tub was all covered in dust. There is only one "air conditioner', which is noisy and is basically just a fan, so air is very stuffy and one has to leave all windows open which invites the mosquitoes in (no nets on windows) and creates unwanted drafts that bang windows at night and make doors crackle. All this mentioned could be easier tolerated if the photos in listing showed the true state of the apartment, otherwise it comes as a shock and feels like a huge disappointment. As for cleanliness, the made has to do a much better job, I am afraid.
