Mount Brandon Cottages are the rural idyll at the edge of town. We have it all: peace and quiet in a tranquil parkland setting, yet we are only 5 minutes walk from the medieval town of Graiguenamanagh, the Village of the Monks. Stunning scenery. :-)

The space

Away from it all, yet only a five minutes' walk from the busy little town of Graiguenamanagh, Mount Brandon Cottages are four-star self-catering holiday cottages. There is a state-of-the-art bbq house for our guests' use. You will find all the mod cons you can wish for and we will wow you with our local knowledge, lots of insider tips and the on-site pottery studio! Fed up of being a tourist? Why not have a go at making your own pottery?

Guest access

Guests have access to free WIFI, ample space in the landscaped gardens to run around and play football with the kids, a terrace with outdoor furniture, private parking, table tennis, the state-of-the art barbecue house (which some guests have used to cook their breakfast, lunch and dinner on) and much, much more...

Interaction with guests

When guests arrive, we give them the guided tour of the premises. We live onsite, so therefore we are always on hand to answer any questions that you may have and give advice as well as plan your travel itinerary - that is, if you are interested. After the first night we check in with guests to make sure that they have no queries about the house and its many appliances. We introduce kids to the chickens and ducks on the land and let TWIG, the resident dog, demonstrate his ball and frisbee tricks for them.

Other things to note

A child's cot as well as high chair is supplied for guests travelling with small children.
We also supply towels and bed linen free of charge.
If you wish to bring your dog, please feel free to do so. We have 2 purpose-built kennels on site.
We are doing our bit for the environment and ask our guests to follow suit. There are 3 different composting facilities here at the cottages, we separate our recycling and use low-energy appliances where possible. Please note that towels and linen are supplied free of charge, you will, however, pay for electricity and/or kerosene. We read the meter with you on arrival and again at departure - you only pay for what you have used during your stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing vacation off the beaten path. This is a central enough location for excellent day trips with plenty to do in town as well. Andrea is a great host and this was our 2nd time staying. Carmen has great pottery stuff and we enjoyed shopping in her little shop. She also does classes. Thanks girls, it was a pleasant stay again!

The village was a wonderful surprise and treat. Views of the river and river front gorgeous in the evening. The cottage was great. Warm , roomy and spotlessly clean. Thanks Andrea.

What an amazing experience! The cottages and village were everything we dreamed. We used Andrea's cottages as home base and traveled throughout the country. When we weren't traveling, we walked the village and enjoyed the local pubs. The only recommendation we have is that the internet (wi-fi) needs to be better. Three of the four adults in our group needed the internet to work and we had to spend a lot of time outside in the BBQ area to be close to the router to get a strong enough signal to work.

Response from Andrea:
Hi guys! Fair point. I blame VODAFONE for the poor signal, but am glad that the signal was strong enough in the BBQ hut for you guys to not be cut off from the outside world. :-) We are working on resolving the issue though. Thanks again for staying with us. It was our pleasure hosting you.

We had a wonderful vacation at the Mount Brandon Cottages. We had plenty of room and the ability to be able to prepare some of our meals here was fantastic. The cottage had everything we needed for our 9 day stay. Andrea was fantastic to work with and made my first Air B and B booking an absolute pleasure. I would do this all over again for sure and would return here without hesitation. The grounds and views from here are astounding. The pottery school here is great too, my wife found a few things to take home with her from Carmen. Andrea provided great information about the local area and things to do around here. Thank you both for a wonderful stay and hope to see you again someday!!

Nice property in a good location. Quiet and relaxing. Host helpful and pleasant. Description and photos well represent property. Recommended.

Andrea made us feel very welcomed! She was very helpful with her communication (especially giving us detailed directions) and making sure we knew she was avalaible to help whenever and however needed. The listing was just as we would picture it. The cabins are located less than 5 minutes from a small little village ( with the longest name possible) and was a perfect little get away from the bigger places we had visted. The cabin was VERY clean and organized and the bed was quite comfortable! We didn't stay long, but we enjoyed our stay!

An avid SCUBA diver in my spare time, I run my own business (Mount Brandon Cottages) but also manage front of house in the Waterside Restaurant. I enjoy diving, hillwalking and love animals (that is why I don't eat them, either).
