Mount Brandon Cottages are the rural idyll at the edge of town. We have it all: peace and quiet in a tranquil parkland setting, yet we are only 5 minutes walk from the medieval town of Graiguenamanagh, the Village of the Monks. Stunning scenery. :-)
Away from it all, yet only a five minutes' walk from the busy little town of Graiguenamanagh, Mount Brandon Cottages are four-star self-catering holiday cottages. There is a state-of-the-art bbq house for our guests' use. You will find all the mod cons you can wish for and we will wow you with our local knowledge, lots of insider tips and the on-site pottery studio! Fed up of being a tourist? Why not have a go at making your own pottery?
Guests have access to free WIFI, ample space in the landscaped gardens to run around and play football with the kids, a terrace with outdoor furniture, private parking, table tennis, the state-of-the art barbecue house (which some guests have used to cook their breakfast, lunch and dinner on) and much, much more...
Interaction with guests
When guests arrive, we give them the guided tour of the premises. We live onsite, so therefore we are always on hand to answer any questions that you may have and give advice as well as plan your travel itinerary - that is, if you are interested. After the first night we check in with guests to make sure that they have no queries about the house and its many appliances. We introduce kids to the chickens and ducks on the land and let TWIG, the resident dog, demonstrate his ball and frisbee tricks for them.
Other things to note
A child's cot as well as high chair is supplied for guests travelling with small children.
We also supply towels and bed linen free of charge.
If you wish to bring your dog, please feel free to do so. We have 2 purpose-built kennels on site.
We are doing our bit for the environment and ask our guests to follow suit. There are 3 different composting facilities here at the cottages, we separate our recycling and use low-energy appliances where possible. Please note that towels and linen are supplied free of charge, you will, however, pay for electricity and/or kerosene. We read the meter with you on arrival and again at departure - you only pay for what you have used during your stay.
We would like guests to make themselves at home, yet treat the houses with the respect they deserve.
