We enjoyed the stay in this apartment not just because it is located near to the fall, simply because of the two caretakers / housekeepers Adrian & Silvia (lovely couple)! Silvia helped us with the check in procedures, explained patiently the house rules and recommended few places of interests nearby. Adrian, made yummy pancakes for us the next morning. We had a good chat in the morning and good laughs when we exchange our experience during travelling to other countries. It made us feel like home and we became friends instantly.
Apart from that, we are happy to share that:
Room is clean and comfortable. Only thing to highlight : this is an old house so we need to walk softly and talk softly in order not to affect other guests.
Overall we enjoyed our one night stay in this private room.
Andre and Carroll were very helpful in getting our needs and questions taken care of. Overall a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend anyone to stay here should you like a good location that is not too far away from the sights.
This was my first time using a hostel. There was a young couple assisting who helped check us in and made us feel as if we were rooming with close friends. I wanted to take them home with me!! We met Carroll our first morning. It was like doing business with a long time client and friend. The establishment was exactly as advertised. I had my 14 year old daughter with me and didn't really know what to expect. I was so glad to find that it felt safe and as cozy as being at home, only farther away. I loved that there was even a space heater in the room should it not be exactly warm enough for us. I loved how quiet and peaceful our stay was. There are instructions clearly posted everywhere which helped me feel relaxed and move efficiently with the rest of the house; everyone in sync. It was so close to everything we found that we ran out of planned things to do. We felt so at home we went "home" and just spent a few extra hours in the evening watching a movie.
My friend and I enjoyed the stay at Wanderfalls Guesthouse. We had a great, clean room with much space and a shared bathroom on the second floor. The house is basically and simple furnished, but it is totally sufficient.
Out hosts were very welcoming and friendly, we enjoyed having breakfast with them. They were flexible with our Check-in time and showed us on a map how to get to the American and Canadian side of the falls as well as to the supermarket.
There is just one flaw you should consider before booking: you will need 20-30 minutes to walk to the Niagara Falls on the American side and 40 minutes to the Canadian side. As all the restaurants and attractions are located on the Canadian side, I would definitely cross the border.
Otherwise, this is a wonderful place and I recommend staying here!
We are very happy you enjoyed your stay at our house. The Falls are 1 mile from the hostel, so 20 minutes is about right. Unfortunately, at the time of year Alina was here (early April) there is not much open on either side, though definitely more on the Canadian side in the off-season. The main attractions (Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds) do not open until all the snow and ice have melted from the river - mid May. Of course, the Niagara Falls State Park is always open and is free and the Falls are always doing their thing - beautiful in any season.
Getting in and getting keys all went smoothly. A friendly, respectful hostel, with travelers from around the world. I had the lower bunk (double bed size); it was comfortable. And everything was clean. The downstairs living and dining areas were warm and welcoming. And Adrien even offered to cook pancakes for breakfast.
Carroll/Andre were so nice and kind. It was my first airbnb and i worried staying somewhere through airbnb. However, I was able to stay here very well! I recommend to stay here if you visit niagara falls!

About the Host, Carroll & Andre
We are avid travelers and running this guesthouse allows us some freedom in the off season to do just that. Carroll spent most of her career in Human Resources but gave it all up (darn) a few years ago to open this guesthouse & hostel - leaving the wonderful California weather behind but gaining a wonderful husband. Andre is from Germany and we found each other here!
