What a great stay I had in your RV, Lemuel!
The view is fantastic and the location so perfect - very close to the park in a quiet environment.
The RV is very comfy, very clean and very spacious. I loved it.
Thank you for taking the time to give me information about the park and the towns nearby, Lemuel. I really appreciated it.
I had an awesome stay and would definitely come back if one day I have the opportunity to come back hike in the Smokies.
Loved everything from the location, scenery, host and their sweet family, helpful tips of what to do in the area, the peace and quiet and beautiful starry nights. The RV was awesome- spacious, fun and had all the basics plus an amazing view! We didn't want to leave.
Lemuel was very nice and cool, and guided us through trails in the park nearby. Although it was rainy the next day, we managed to follow the path that he told about with a creek on the side of the road, and really enjoyed it. The camping car is super awesome with all the things you can think of in it, from beds to TVs (although we didn't use them). Resting on the hammock was also super relaxing.
Lemuel was very nice and responded quickly when contacted. We stayed in the converted barn at the back of the property and it was quite comfortable and very clean. Pretty view!
The winter camping experience was exactly what we were expecting. The camper and setup were perfect. The camper was very clean. Cleaner than expected, in like new condition. It is very close to Metcalf bottoms trail in the GSM national park. It is also nicely located for Cades Cove and Gatlinburg. We enjoyed preparing coffee, breakfast, picnic lunches for the trails, as we were there to winter hike. I brought several good meals to reheat for dinner. I brought ceramic stoneware so they could go from oven to table. This worked very well. It was also very romantic. The stars were bright and easily viewed at the camp site as the area lighting was good, not too bright to site see, yet bright enough to walk easily from the parking area to the camper. We brought wine, champagne with blackberries, which were very enjoyable under the stars. The bedroom was very comfortable. We easily stayed warm. We turned the heat down at night for the experience of winter camping. The camper warmed up quickly in the morning when we turned it on again. We had a small rainstorm in the night and enjoyed the sounds of rain and wind. We stayed dry. We heard wolves or coyotes and a screech owl which were a bit further up the foothills from the camper. I very much recommend this camper and hope to visit again soon.
The RV was pretty new and in good shape. Almost everything worked well. However, the regular heater didn't function when the temperature outside was below freezing so we had to plug in a space heater. This did an ok job of keeping the bedroom warm but the rest of the place was very cold when you woke up. They also had signs requesting that you not put ANY paper products down the toilet so we had a wastepaper basket full of poopy toilet paper in our bathroom. Sort of gross
Hi guys. Thanks for your feedback. The heating system now works wonderfully. And regarding paper products: Yes, in RVs paper products can not be put down toilets. Sorry you did not know that :-( But you did not need to have full wastebaskets at all. As I explained during our tour, for all trash all you have to do is put all trash bags outside by your door and immediately someone will come and pick it up. (So there was no need to have a wastebasket full of toilet paper, that in fact is sorta gross. No matter how much waste is generated we are here to make sure everything is beautiful and clean.) We are always very happy to assist you and pamper you in every possible way.
