About This Listing
Enjoy your own private bedroom and bathroom in the heart of Venice. Literally blocks to Abbot Kinney, the coolest Whole Foods on the planet and amazing restaurants, our place is perfect for the leisure or business traveler.
Chic, sleek and minimal, our apartment represents everything that makes Silicon Beach (that 3 mile stretch of coastal land in Los Angeles that so many tech startups are now calling home, from Santa Monica to Venice to Playa Vista) the place to be for today's up and comers. It is also an amazing place to just to kick back and relax in the California sun. Here's what we provide to make your stay the best:
• Private bedroom with queen bed, and private bathroom
• European Goose Down comforter with 540 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets
• Fresh coffee
• Hand soap from our good friends at SoapBox Soaps, Soap=Hope
•Soma Water filters, for the conscious water drinker (DrinkSoma)
• 50 inch LED TV with Roku 3, preloaded with Netflix and Hulu Plus subscription
• Hi speed reliable wireless internet, FiOS, 75/35 mbps

You will have full access to the amenities of the apartment. Exclusive/private access to your private bedroom and bathroom, but the kitchen and common areas are shared.
We are just 5 miles north of LAX International Airport. You can take the 1/Pacific Coast Highway all the way. Depending on traffic, it should be a 15-20 minute drive.
We love the sharing economy and we encourage all our guests to use sharing economy solutions for transportation. If you have never done a rideshare we can hook you up with a first time user credit for Sidecar and Lyft. If you need a bike, check out our friends at Spinlister and if you want your own car for the day, or for your whole stay, check out RelayRides.
We are right next to the 405 and 10 freeways, 2 of LA's largest arteries for commuting
Our place has plenty of free street parking.
Enter the code 0312 on the front door digital lock and turn the deadbolt cylinder to open. To lock on departure simply hit the "Schlage" button and turn the deadbolt cylinder.
Interaction with Guests
We interact with you as much or as little as you like. We will be present during your stay and would love it if you share a meal, coffee or a drink with us, but if you don't, that's ok. If you seek full solitude, we suggest you seek full solitude. We are busy professionals, but we also control our schedules and we are in and out of our place a lot.
The location is excellent for Venice/Santa Monica/LA Startup scene. Proximity defined:
• Just a few blocks from the coolest Whole Foods Market on the planet, Whole Foods Venice
• Wurstkuche, LA's premier bier garten and artisan sausage house is right across the street
• Just 3/4 mile to Abbot Kinney, the coolest street in America according to GQ magazine
• A little more than a mile to the beach and Venice Boardwalk
• (website hidden)'s Venice office is just 3/4 mile away
• About a 1/2 mile walk to the original Groundwork Coffee on Rose Ave
And a slew of other awesome things to do and places to see. First Friday's on Abbot Kinney are a blast, and if you make it out here in the summer you can enjoy the free Twilight Concert Series at the Santa Monica Pier, every Thursday from Mid July to Mid September.
For this area, we recommend walking, Sidecar, Lyft or Uber.
Other Things to Note
Our community (the complex in which we live) is a SMOKE FREE community. If you must smoke, this is probably not the place for you.
Our rules are simple, respect the house, respect your neighbors and respect the planet (be mindful of your energy consumption). Again, this is a SMOKE FREE property, so no smoking inside or outside in the complex/community.
There is a penalty for late check-out. The guest will have a penalty of $ 50 and the charge will be against the security deposit.
We stayed at Chantal's lovely apartment for 3 nights and had an amazing time.
Chantal was a kind and friendly host who made us feel at home. The apartment is exactly like the pictures. Our room was a great size, it was walking distance to Venice beach and the area felt really safe. We cooked a lot during our stay and found we had everything we needed.
I would recommend staying with Chantal for anyone looking to stay in a central and beautiful part of LA.
If a cheap place to stay is all you need, look no further, you've found it.
The goods: mostly the price but also comfortable room, quiet and peaceful neighborhood, actually never saw our hosts, easy check in/out.
The bads: finding parking was a challenge and not something we expected, consider yourself warned. We were a surprised by the location. The circle shown in the ad isn't where the house is located, not even close. Don't plan to walk to Abbot Kinney or the beach.
Was so easy and comfortable. Instantly got along with everyone and the pool and gym are definite musts. Quite an interesting little area tucked away behind Lincoln which gives easy access to everything you need. Loved staying here and will probably stay again just for the pool and the gym :)
It was a shame I could only stay there for one night as I would've been quite happy to have a couple more days there to enjoy the accommodation and pool. Found it a bit confusing to get in originally but after that was a perfect stay. I hope to be back soon!
We are still on the road in San Francisco now so I'll keep the review short. We arrived in Venice after having camped in southern Utah the night before, and Chantel was there to greet us right at the 4pm check-in time. A swift check-in, offering of local info and a couple of warm towels were all we needed, since we were only in town for the night and had a date with relatives to get to. Under other circumstances I would have been happy to get to know the hosts and I feel comfortable that I would have been reciprocated. Certainly was a perfect experience for our purposes.
