The space
Cottage on Lake Crescent, completed in the spring of 2005, is available to those who love a spectacular setting for an adventuresome or restful vacation. It is located in the Olympic National Park.

Lake Crescent, a 620' deep shimmering jewel, was carved by a huge glacier thousands of years ago. It is at the northern border of Olympic National Park, 20 miles west of Port Angeles, Washington just off on Highway 101. The pristine, crystal-clear blue lake quietly hugs steep mountain ridges, clad with ancient forests of western hemlock, Douglas fir, grand fir, and at the lower levels: moss-draped big leaf maples and alder.

The cottage, located on Barnes Cove at the base of Mt. Storm King, faces spectacular views of the lake and mountain ridges. Within an easy walk are Lake Crescent Lodge, Storm King Ranger Station, a public boat launch, and scenic nature trails.

The cottage (approximately 750 sq. ft.) provides a gracious setting for indoor-outdoor vacationing: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, sunning at the doorstep, a bonfire by the beach or an evening indoors by the wood stove. Walk the trails, relax and take in the view of the lake, or kayak right from our beach.

Guest access
Guests will enjoy the fully furnished cottage with a complete kitchen, linens, bedding, paper products, wood for the fire, two small & cozy bedrooms, laundry facilities, an outdoor dinning area & plenty of outdoor seating, evenings by the bonfire on our beach...

South bedroom: double bed & wardrobe. North Bedroom: Double bed with high twin bunk & dresser. High twin bunk is reserved for the host family grandchildren.

Barnes Cove is home to about 15 vacation homes & friendly neighbors. The Cove is quiet & peaceful - occasional excited children & water skiing. Nearby Bovee's Meadow & Beach is busy on warm summer days.

As a child in Port Angeles, I enjoyed many wonderful summer days on Lake Crescent. In 1994 our family found this stunning property. Little by little, we built the cottage, completing it in 2005. My husband is a harpsichord maker & nature photographer. See our photo collection! I am a retired elementary school music teacher & church musician, enjoying our beautiful grandchildren...
