Interaction with Guests
I like to share at least a little conversation with my guests so I hope you like sharing, not just using my house like a hotel
The flat is ideally located within a 10 minute walk or a couple of minutes by taxi of Broad Street, the ICC & Symphony Hall and the NIA. The Bullrin(website hidden)box and other shopping areas are also within easy reach. The NEC is 8 miles away and as the flat has free car parking it is a convenient place to stay for anyone attending an exhibition at the NEC but wanting to stay in Birmingham.
-Walking distance from Broad Street, the most famous street in Birmingham, full of pubs and attractions like the biggest public library in Europe
- 5 minutes walking from big supermarkets like Morrisons and Tesco (Really big ones)
- 20 seconds walking from a 24 hours cheap! shop (2 bottles of red wine from Sicily for £5)
- 20 seconds walking from cheap and good restaurants
- Taxi company next door! (Falcon Cars)
Buses stop round the corner (Hagley Road. 20 seconds walking from home)
Other Things to Note
There are other permanent tenants living in the flat from different countries (UK, Spain, Italy...)
Respect the (website hidden) belongings, leave the room as you found it, clean your own dishes and cutlery after use so other guests can use. Please lock the main door always behind you when you leave the building. Please note we have a quiet time after 11pm so guests can sleep and not be disturbed.
Quiet place to stay. Very nice host, ready to help you, and answer all your questions.
The room was good. The housemates also very good!
Many thanks to Ali!
First of all its not the same location as it appears on the map. No central heating that means no hot water(Washbasin & kitchen) other than shower. I am a regular traveller to Birmingham and you get better rooms in the same area for the price.
Its a quiet environment and convenience place. Just little far to the city centre.
Nice room, I recommend !
Manu wasn't there so it was his friend Ali that showed us around, he was very friendly. Its a decent room, even though central heating wasn't working the electric heater heats the room up perfectly fine. Bed was comfortable and the covers were clean.
On the downside there was a constant draft from the window and hardly any lights were turned on in the corridors which didn't make trips to the toilet pleasant. Also one of the showers weren't working at all however the other shower was working fine.
Overall though the place was decent - you literally get what you pay for

I am currently away on holiday and have left my friend Ali to manage the bnb for me until I am back. Ali is a senior menswear fashion designer, concept artist and illustrator. He has been living in Birmingham about 5 years now. Most likely all your booking and inquiries will be dealt by him now as I have full confidence he is an excellent host and a trustworthy friend. I will be in constant touch with him throughout my holiday to make sure all is well and guests are happy.
I am a Chemist and Spanish Teacher from Spain living in the UK since 2012 and I like meeting people from all over the world.
I know it's not always easy but I like when there's time to share with guests, going out, etc.
There's a famous and cheap Indian restaurant next to my 2 flats called Chennai Dosa and I like having dinner with my guests when it's possible.
I live 1 minute away from the 2 towers which inspired JRR Tolkien writing The Lord of the Rings and 2 mins walking from The Oratory where He used to participate and 1 minute from The Plough and Harrow hotel where he stayed as well.
