This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

This Pod style cabin is the perfect cozy forest escape for two. Spend time relaxing in the outdoor bar and enjoy the screened in hammock for a nap. The stars shine through your clear roof:)

Guest access
Campers and their pets have access to all of our hiking trails with the exception of trails marked "Private Trail" leading to individual campsites and cabins--we do our best to ensure privacy:) You can drive your vehicle to this cabin.
There are 3 other private cabins on this property, the "Algonquin Wolf," "Trackers Cabin," and the "Sarah Lesley;" all 3 are 4 season, off-grid with solar power. There are 2 other cabins on the south side of the highway as well, Red Pine cabin and Wood Duck Cabin.

Other things to note
Our nature trails are mostly hilly, so be prepared for a climb up, but enjoy the hike down on the way back. There is a picnic table lookout area at the top for a picnic or rest. There are steep drops in places. Please keep an eye on your children! The trails below the escarpment are more forested and have little or no hills. They are excellent for viewing birds and seeing animal tracks.
Great cell service: cabins and campsites are located close to a cell tower. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Please keep them close or on a leash so that they do not chase the deer:)

Born in the 70s
I spend too much time: Outdoor adventure, hunting and fishing
We were born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, so it is no surprise that we have chosen this amazing place to raise our family and to start a business that incorporates all the natural beauty of the area. Being in the outdoors and teaching our children to appreciate nature is a big priority for us. Most of our vacations are based around exploring new places, camping, hunting and fishing. These experiences keep us connected and create amazing memories. Our goal is to provide a private place for you to discover. A quiet place with rural hospitality, woods, wetlands, lakes and wildlife.
